Works well as it should and blocks all signals from outside, keeping them from my smart device

Picked this up to attend a popular hacking con.I like my phone and Ipad and wanted to keep them secure while at a con.Tested by calling my phone from another phone, and dropped it in the bag during the call. The call ended. Also turned the ringer all the way up, put it in the bag. Called from another phone and it went to voicemail. So I was comfortable it worked as needed.Left them on, and in Airplane mode, then in the bag they went.

I wasn’t sure how well this bag would work out. I was planning to put two GMRS radios and A bunch of other small items to keep safe and it easily fit everything. I may get a couple more to keep in the cars.

The bag does do the job. The thing to remember is to ensure that it is properly closed and it will work. Tried it with phones and keys and it does indeed block the signal. Thank you!

I have tested this bag under various conditions using my mobile phone and a electromagnetic field meter. My first experiments indicate works well blocking mobile phone radio links, and even blocks well WiFi radio links at very short distance ( ~ 1 m from a router's with multiple antennas) .However, it is important to understand, that the faraday bag only works well when the velcro seal is completely closed, if there is a gap in that seal, even small, the bag will not block all RF.If you are unhappy with the signal attenuation that the bag provides, use two of them, one inserted inside the other, check both are properly sealed, or use a metallic sealable bag inside the main bag to further block RF links. You can also fold the larger bag in half, to increase the line of sight shield between external antennas and that of the mobile phone, RFID chip or tablet, you are trying to isolate.RF shielding is an incremental process. Multiple layers increase effectivity of a Faraday Shield.

Seems to work, I put my cell phone in the bag and was unable to call or locate it online.I have not yet tested it against an EMP.

I purchased this in case someone leaves a cell phone or tablet in my car. It’s heavier than I expected it to be and a good quality. The closure works very well. It’s larger than I thought it would be.

This is a nice size bag. It works around my house and closes securely. I think it will be good traveling or hiking.

This was used to test some quality use cases for a smartphone : Go from a good coverage area to marginal coverage and finally loss of service, then back to coverage. Normally engineers rent a vehicle and drive through specific areas to run this, however we wanted to see if this product could come close to simulating that.It didn't.Here's how it was tested:1. We connected the phone via USB cable to a PC and used an application to mirror the display (so we can see what the phone shows on the PC screen).2. Verified normal coverage in RSSI. (Take the absolute value and the lower, the better)3. Place the phone in the bag and fold it per instructions.BEFORE: We saw regular RF signal to be between -99dBM to -101dBM before placing it in the bag.AFTER: We saw a very marginal loss of reception down to -107dBM meaning the device was still attached to the cellular network. (We would see loss of service around -115 or more)CONCLUSION: This may block verrrrrrrrrrrrry little RF, but it you get what you pay for. In this case absolutely nothing.QUESTION: But what about the cable protruding from the bag? This should not be enough for continuous RF signal to be received. RF is measured as radio waves and antennas use complex beam forming methods to send and receive it. Based on the positioning of the antenna in this device and placement in the bag, along with how many times it was folded, this should not pose significant deviation for this test.FINALLY: This is garbage.
