About this item

  • 【M.2 NVME SSD to PCIe x16 Expension Card】 4 M.2 NVME SSD (M-key) to PCIE 3.0/4.0 X16 RAID Card, high-speed transmission 4x32Gbps full-speed transmission, multi-system compatible can be used for Windows/for Mac OS/for Linux.
  • 【RAID Card Adapter】 VROC disk array, support for Windows 10 Soft RAID. If you want to raid, be sure to use 4 hard drives with the same specifications and the same model to ensure the consistency of hard drive performance.
  • 【M.2 SSD support】only supports 2230 2242 2260 2280 size NVME protocol or AHCI protocol M.2 NGFF SSD, it is important to note that the AHCI protocol is not equal to the SATA protocol.
  • 【Matching hardware support】 all servers and X99 motherboards are supported. Other motherboards support X299, Z370, Z390, X399, X570, B550, X470, B450, Z490, Z590, TRX40, C422, C621, W480.
  • 【Note】 You can run 4 NVME SSDs at the same time, but 1---The motherboard must support PCI-E RAID function or PCIe signal splitting (support splitting PCIE X16 into 4 PCIE X4). The motherboard BIOS shows "PCIEX16 Bifurcation" and "PCIE 4x4" generally support splitting. 2---The motherboard needs to host PCIe 3.0 4.0, otherwise the speed cannot reach full speed.

On my MB only one PCIX16_1 can be set to RAID. I did the mistake and after Bios change the adapter didn't work. I had to move my RTX to the other PCI slot which is not perfect since is the bottom one close to chase, but hey works!!! It's not the adapter fault thou

solo funcionó para un modulo M.2, aun habilitando la parte de bifurcación 4x4x4x4, no vienen especificaciones del producto ni manual de usuario, tengo un mother Board ASUS TUF B760 que adquirí hace unos meses.

As others have stated, there is an issue with certain motherboards not working with more than 2 drives. This is the case with my Supermicro X10DRi-T4+ motherboard, it seems like there is some kind of power issue as the 2 slots that do not work do not seem to be getting any power. My theory is that some motherboards are not providing 3.3v on all of the pins they are expected to. Perusing the PCIe page on wikipedia, it seems like the +3.3v rail is only rated for 3A (9.9w) of current, that is obviously not enough to run 4 NVMe drives, so the manufacturer seems to be tapping 3.3v from a pin that's unused on certain boards, possibly the AUX/standby pins though I haven't had a chance to study the traces.I highly recommend you find a card that isn't as cheap and properly powers the drives from the +12v rail, as it is the only guaranteed way to know it will work.Once I replace the card in my server I'll update on what they are exactly doing here.

I installed this card with some small heatsinks, I am receiving some over heating alerts on unraid so now I wish I would have gotten the other version with the fan. I also started getting one of the drives dropping out but haven't debugged if it's the drive or the card that is causing the one drive to drop out. It is also one of the drives that overheated so I hope that didn't damage it.Still working with a new drive installed using the new zfs cache pool on unraid

Bought this based on the Q&A for this product. Verified that my motherboard supports the required 4x4x4x4 bifurcation. But it only sees one drive in the first slot. This is in the 16x PCIe slot.

I have been in the computer buisiness for 25 years. I am an experienced computer tech. For the life of my I could not get this thing to work in RAID mode. There is no driver, no manual, no instruction, no tech support. After trying for 2 hours on DELL server, ASUs motherboards. I gave up.Sent it back. Why would someone sell a product like this. Just throw it in the box let the damn customer figure it out.Well this damn customer could not figure it out.

i tried a pciex16 slot that does x4, no dice. then i tried a slot with bifurcation turned to pcie raid mode. boom it showed up. i only have two m.2s on the card though, but i hope it'll see the other ones if i add in the future too.tbh i would rather get the asus hyper for twice the money simply for the heat sink+fan. having to buy individual passive heatsinks is a minor hassle and may not work as well.minus a star for long wait getting the package (shipped from china for me) and lack of heatsink (you'd have to buy separately or along with your m.2)
