Worked perfectly fine to repaid canvas on an ice fishing tent.

Works pretty well. I got a hole in a super heavy duty canvas tent. I used iron on, waterproof patches, then made square patches out of the tent stake bags so the patch would match perfectly. I used a sewing machine to sew a reinforced edge by folding a flap over them used the stitching awl to sew the patches onto the tent.The biggest thing I learned in the process is to use one of the awls that come with the stitcher to make a hole before attempting to sew. I broke both needles that came with it before figuring this out.Once I began using the awls to make a hole before sewing, the process went twice as quick. The waxed thread, scissors and other items the kit comes with are nice quality too.I would buy again.

Kit was great and came with a ton of options. Case is a bit to small and a puzzle to get everything back in it.

Having struggled with curved needles that would break under pressure trying to repair Velcro on knee pads, I was delighted to discover and try this tool for sewing Velcro onto the polyester bottom of canoe seats. It made the task enjoyable without breaking a needle and achieved a much stronger and more durable bond than just self-adhesive Velcro.
