Bought these for a DIY project. I have used them to poke holes through leather, jean and plastic and they have done a great job.

The handle is not wood, it's plastic. I bought a 2-pack and one of them had a cracked handle. The awl worked great though. It was sharp & the perfect size for my needs

These little awls are perfectly servicable for my needs. I got two of them for about $3.00 each (so inexpensive) and they were delivered the next morning! That really is worthy of a five star rating. I've given only 5 stars because these awls, while servicable, are not as sturdy as a really solid, needle sharp professional awl. I wouldn't trust the tips not to bend under the kind of pressure I've needed to apply in the past with some projects, but having said that, I wasn't expecting professional quality for such a minimal cost. These awls are comfortable to hold, work very well with leather and clay, and are generally quite functional craft quality tools. I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend this product.

I like the size which fits comfortably in my hand. Not heavy or bulky which makes them easy to use for smaller projects and crafts. Would recommend.

I've recently started making memory journals and these awls are exactly what I was looking for to create the holes for binding. They're small and lightweight enough to be comfortable in my hands, and easy to use, and I love the fact that they come with a cover to protect the sharp points. Perfect!

This is the best tool I’ve found for a laying tool, to smooth and straighten stitches in needlepoint and cross stitch. It fits perfectly in my hand, so I love it. It makes it so much easier to separate twisted strands and lay the thread well.

These work well, don't snag and catch on fabric, nice and sturdy. Best cheap purchase I've made to help with setting several hundred grommets in the near future. Makes the whole process smoother and easy. It's all I wanted and needed!
