Decent plates, but the screws are useless to screw into frame and the holes too big for a regular screw.

My house shifts when it rains or doesn't so my old strike plate would jam on top or bottom depending on the season. This one is twice as tall as the old one. After 15 min install my frustrations are gone! Perfect fit for my need.

This plate was used because our latch was not long enough to catch from the door hinge. And that extra thickness we needed. Worked great.

Ordered these for a client of mine, I am very happy with them. Nice thick strike plates, great alternative to the smaller thinner strike plates typically used in residential settings.

Well made heavy duty strike plate with a long opening, love that it's stainless steel so it wont rust. Used it on my Gate to make sure it latches securely. Gates tend to sag over time and the normal size strike plate ends up being too high for the bolt to catch unless you lift the gate. This solves that problem. Two things to consider: First, this is obviously designed for industrial applications to be installed in a steel frame door, so the included screws are very short, blunt ended with fine thread for the steel door frame, they wont work for application to wood door frames. Second, the Screw holes in the strike plate are larger diameter than your standard strike plate so your going to need a screw with a larger than normal head if your going into a wood door frame. Hope this review is helpful.

First off, I’m well aware that this definitely isn’t intended to be used with a wood door frame. That said, I had a rim lock and an oddly wide door frame so it needed a mortise lock style striker plate. I shopped around a bit and found a couple, but they were all very overpriced in my opinion. This was half the price and happened to be the perfect dimensions and much more heavy duty. I used my own screws and everything was a perfect fit. I just needed it to go on the door to my 110 year old basement, but it looks so clean I have zero complaints. Easy install, super sturdy, and cheap. Can’t beat it.
