If you need an optical output this is the one. Many take optical input in transmit mode but few provide optical output in receive mode. That said, (1) I could not pair to anything else and bought a second unit. They paired successfully to each other. (2) Operation seemed erratic or the instruction manual is inadequate. I still do not understand how I turned on the optical receive laser; or why it was off (no red light in the optical output port). Still, ultimately I ended up with one device that took optical input bluetooth-connected to a second device that generated optical output. I have not checked carefully but any delay appears to be small.

Bought for my 72 year old dad so he can use headphones to watch TV. Setup was kinda easy for me but I'm proficient with technology. He hasn't had issues with it, so it must not be hard to manage it on his own. No complaints from him yet the past month since setup.Sound quality is actually pretty good. No unexpected disconnect issues and the sound is actually clear and accurate to the lip movement. I have it hooked up with the optical cable from an LG TV and it works perfect basically.

Worst product I ever bought on Amazon. Does not work properly when trying to blue tooth audio from tv. Emailed customer service twice with no response. Called once, no answer. Bam, I got beat. It’s not funny.

The instructions are confusing and the rebate coupon is a scram, but it is very easy to setup as a transmitter on my turntable, the sound is exceptionally, the range covers my entire room even the bathroom, since I only use it on my turntable I like the usb power, no battery to keep charge.

The distance on this is amazing but forget about using this with a HiFi system. There is a very high pitched tone that is heard as soon as any Bluetooth device connects. Can't hear it so much when music is playing but is like nails on a chalk board if something isn't being transmitted. Very surprising considering all of my other Pyle purchases have been exceptional.
