This electronic preamplifier stands up to the test and will provide you with serious sound performance. The PP999 is perfect for bringing your studio equipment's phono-level output to a more suitable and manageable line-level output. It'll take your audio signal, amplify its strength and prepare it for further processing by your receiver or amplifier. Preamps technically provide voltage gain to your desired equipment and are key to assisting the signal source. The ultra-low noise audio conditioning circuitry allows the preamp to boost audio to levels that are more manageable for various types of audio equipment. You'll find it easier to adjust the recording level volumes of different sources and instruments alike. You should position your preamp close to the source to reduce unwanted noise and interference. Preamps can sometimes come built into the stereo equipment, but if that's not the case, the PP999 is an easy install, wise choice and great addition to any musician or producer. Take your sounds and audio production skills to the next level with the PP999 Preamplifier.

What more can you really say? It works well and is small enough to fit pretty much wherever you would want it. Doesn’t seem to colour the sound in a negative way and has given me no issues during the time I have had it running.

Small phono preamp is easy to hide behind another component. Works pretty well and noise free. A good purchase overall

First off, this was 15 bucks so I wasn’t expecting great sound but WOW it delivered. I have a Bose Acoustic Wave and the bass was tremendous. Now for the hum, there was some feedback hum but I fixed that fast, quick, and in a hurry. The ground is from the turn table to the pre-amp so I took an old rca cable and stripped one end and tied it into the ground on the pre-amp and ran the rca side to the Bose. It had an rca connection for ground. No hum.

Let me preface this review; the main reason I purchase this turntable pre-amp was because of the Pyle name. I owned a Pyle sound panel some years ago and was very happy with it.While it does not claim in the description that it is an RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) pre-amp, it did claim it was suitable for a turntable amplifier. That claim implies that it has an RIAA response curve. I am an electronics engineer. Because of a few negative reviews, when I received it, I tested it with a function generator and oscilloscope. While it does have an approximation of the RIAA curve, it does not come close to matching it. I suspect that it was designed that way, at the low frequencies, because it exhibits a great deal of hum (that others reported) from the power supply and this was one way (the wrong way!) to reduce it. It does not match at the high frequencies, either, probably due to using the wrong components. I did not disassemble it to confirm my suspicions, as I intended to return it in "as received" condition. If you are looking for a turntable pre-amp, be sure you buy one that is described as having an RIAA response. Do not buy this one! I will be looking at other brands to replace this one.

Me sorprendió el sonido que salió de este preamp phono. Honestamente no esperaba mucho por su bajo costo, pero haciendo pruebas de comparación auditiva con circuitería de preamp phono de buen equipo vintage, no ha quedado mal.

I recently purchased the Pyle Phono Turntable Preamp and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The preamp is well-designed, with clear and easy-to-use controls that make it easy to adjust the sound to your liking. The audio quality is excellent, with crisp highs and deep, rich lows that really bring out the best in my vinyl records. One thing I appreciate about this preamp is its versatility. It works with both moving magnet and moving coil turntable cartridges, which means you can use it with a wide range of turntables. The compact size also makes it easy to store and transport.Overall, I would highly recommend the Pyle Phono Turntable Preamp to anyone who wants to get the most out of their vinyl records. It is a high-quality and affordable option that will help you enjoy your music to the fullest.

I'm writing this review on the same day I am retiring my Pyle PP999 phono preamp. It wasn't until now that I realized what a gem this little guy really is.First, let's get the obvious out of the way- the is THE entry level of entry levels when in comes to phono preamps. You are not looking at this if you are anything approaching an audiophile. But for a budding (or reawakening) vinyl enthusiast of modest means who needs a phono preamp, the Pyle PP999 will serve you well as you feel out whether you want to go further with vinyl.I would say that this it the PERFECT choice for folks who have gotten their hands on a turntable somehow and just want to dip their toes into the water to start. For $15 this will produce admirable sound quality for the price. It is fantastic value at the $15-$20 price point. Use this with a pair of Edifier R1280T Powered Bookshelf Speakers and you can have that turntable spinning out some tunes for $115 (R1280T's only recommended for bedrooms, offices or small man caves). The sound quality on this is very good. Not excellent. Not great. Just very good. Operation is extremely easy. It is small...slightly larger than a deck of cards and very easy to hide away somewhere. I Velcro-ed it to back of my cabinet and completely out of sight. The build quality is excellent for the price point with an all metal housing and plugs that are mounted very securely. Even after taking the casing apart (I said I was retiring it), I still couldn't get the plugs to even wobble on the board. I am confident that this little guys could take quite a beating if I gave it one. The power plug is a wall wart type that might cover an extra space on your power strip- just fyi. Bottom line- For the price of a decent lunch this preamp is a very nice option if you are in a place where money really matters.Today as I unplugged my Pyle PP999 to replace it with an upgrade I realized that it had paid for itself many many times over as it allowed me to affordably dip my toes back into vinyl after pulled my turntable out of storage where it sat for 17 years. Since I had the turntable and already owned the Edifier speakers I mentioned above (their dual inputs allow them do double duty between my PC and my TT) I was able to start enjoying my collection again for an extremely affordable price. It worked without a single problem or issue the entire time I used it and can't recommend it enough if you need something very affordable, well built and that good sound.

Actually the product was received during last week.My review : The product as mentioned is perfect for the purpose. I have a Philips GA242 semi-automatic turntable (with a Shure M25C Magnetic cartridge) from 80's. All this time i was using a Philips Ampli-tuner 15AH549.But i was unable to use my turntable with the new Denon AVR. Not all AVR's of present day come with a phono input. This is where the PYLE pre-amp comes in to play. This pre-amp suits perfect to new AVR's. Frequency response is good with almost nill noise of anykind. The only drawback i found was with the power adapter which is with 110volt AC ideal for US market. Either the manufacturer or the distributor should look into this issue and they should provide India suitable power adapter.
