Ordered this to go between my TV and a set of computer speakers with a subwoofer. The controller for the speakers only has a master volume and a sub volume. No other tone controls. And the TV itself has no tone controls when hooking up external speakers.Before hooking this preamp up, I had almost no control over the very low bass, below 60 hertz. No matter how low I set the sub volume, the very low bass still got through to my neighbors.Now I have precise control over the sub volume, with the added bonus of being able to add some treble. I can finally turn up the volume loud enough to hear the music while I do house work and not annoy my upstairs neighbor with the bass.There is virtually no background noise generated by this unit. Very clean audio.It is super convenient that this has ring-tip inputs and outputs as well as the RCA's. My computer speakers plugged right in with no adapter.It got delivered within the delivery window, but tracking this shipment from China was tricky. It got delivered before it updated in their system. Took about 10 days. It was worth the wait. My next cheapest option for a preamp was almost 5 times the price of this unit.
