I tried one of these on two growing saplings. On each one of them, after the first pull or two, it became impossible for me to pull it back and forth. I tried pulling it hard and I tried pulling it easy. It made no difference. After several tries, I gave up.

Used to trim my goats long horns to a more manageable length. If using for this purpose, be very careful not to cut them too short because the horns will bleed profusely and you can even kill your goat! š

Works fine until you are about half way through the pipe, then sticks, and becomes unable to pull.

I bought another brand of wire saw to cut off the tusk on my 1200 lb boar pig-His tusk had grown too long and was growing into his cheek, so I had to cut it off while he was awake and it had to be done quickly. The other brand of wire saw I bought couldnāt get Not even halfway through the tusk. This saw got all the way through and did a really good job quickly and easily. Best part of all my pig didnāt even have to wake up from his nap and I was able to take care of the surgery with without bothering him too much and he feels so much better. These tusks are solid and very hard, so this saw is quite good! I will always keep some on hand. This cuts, quick and smooth!

Bought these for cutting PVC sprinkler pipe, but didn't use for very long. No matter what I did to keep the cut open as much as possible while cutting, these still bound up tight. Ended up pitching all four.

Did not work well for PVC pipe as the aggressive cable used for cutting was too rough and bogged down. May be ok for wood but did not try that.

Purchased to put in my hunting pack. Works great cutting small tree limbs for my campfire. Bonus is how little it weighs. I would purchase this again.
