My 2007 Ridgeline started to throw DTC P0497 (Evaporative Emission System Low Purge Flow) after 17 years of ownership. For what ever reason, all the Honda dealerships near me didn't have this part in stock and were back ordered.I R&R (removed & replaced) this part in Sept 2024 and the entire process took about 10 minutes. You just unscrew 2 small bolts, slide 2 small vacuum hoses, and clear the DTC code. However, getting the Evap Readiness Monitor to complete took me several days tho because:1) the truck has to be at a specific condition (cold and sitting overnight)2) drive at a specific speed (63 mph)3) maintain the speed for 15-20 minutesAfter installation, I noticed that there is a ridiculous amount vacuum when I unscrew the gas cap, which is a very good sign because the vacuum tells me that the part is working. I hope this Tivora Evap Purge Control Solenoid last for 17 years like the Genuine Honda part.
