I bought the car a few months back and it had the P0449 code for a while. Replacing this kept the code from returning after clearing it. On my 2010 Buick I needed the 19257603 (Vapor Canister Vent Valve Solenoid Jumper Wiring Harness) to use this Solenoid. Kinda annoying the Wiring Harness was more expensive than this part, but it works now, so I'm happy.The location of this Solenoid is on the top of the Vapor Canister that is a black box under the car underneath the rear passenger area. Basically by the rear left tire area. (It's not in the engine area like I was misled to think)All I did was roll the car on some ramps, you could simply jack up the car, or if you have enough height to your vehicle, access it without stands. (Just remember to keep safety in mind when lifting the car or going under it)It was just three 10mm nuts holding the Vapor Canister up, you don't HAVE to remove any hoses to access it. Though it would be easier to disconnect it completely, I didn't have to. I turned it (The solenoid) about 90 degrees and used a screw driver to help pull it out since it was a little stuck. Once it was out new one went in pretty easy and then you just do all that in reverse and put it back up after adding the new wiring harness.

Not sure if it was age or because the car was positioned on front ramps for a couple days, but Saturn Vue had a p0449. Reading thru these comments found the harness (19257603) was also required with this solenoid (sold separately). For the repair, I had to drop the vapor canister to get better grip on the solenoid.

Good OEM part but for many vehicles, you MUST have an adapter harness that converts your existing connector to the DIFFERENT connector on this new part. I required a GM 19257603 harness adapter for our 2005 Saturn ION-3. This listing DOES NOT tell you! Otherwise, part is fine.
