About this item

  • Water Level Window - This Purewell stainless steel filtration system features a transparent window, allowing you to easily monitor the water level without having to open it.
  • 3-Stage Filtration - Purewell gravity water filter system adopts a composite filter technology, can effectively minimize a broad array of contaminants. The black carbon filter utilizes a 0.01μm hollow fiber UF membrane, a silver ion membrane, and an activated carbon block designed to reduce chlorine and intercept rust, sediment, organic matter and heavy metals.
  • Precision Filtration with Smaller Pore Size - Boasting a filter pore size of just 0.01 microns, the Purewell gravity water filter efficiently sieves out 99.99% of minuscule materials from the water, while other brands offer only a 0.2 microns filter pore size. Smaller filter pore size equates to enhanced filtration accuracy. Impressively, despite this microscopic pore size, the Purewell water filter system retains an optimal flow rate of 4 gallons per hour.
  • Energy Efficient - Operating on the principle of gravity filtration, this system requires no electricity. The Purewell gravity water filter system comprises upper and lower chambers: the former for unfiltered tap water and the latter for collecting filtered water. Its no-electricity requirement makes it versatile for both indoor and outdoor use. NOTE: Avoid adding tap water to the top chamber when the bottom chamber is filled with filtered water to prevent leakage.
  • Durable and Replaceable - The pair of black carbon filters provides up to 6000 gallons of drinkable water, with each filter element serving up to 3000 gallons (lifespan may vary depending on water quality). For optimal performance, it's recommended to replace the filter elements every 6 months. Please note: This system does NOT lower the TDS value.

I LOVE my new gravity feed steel water filter! I am trying to avoid plastic, so changed from my plastic water filter pitchers to this steel one. Oh, I love it and wish I'd traded sooner! It takes up way less counter space, is very handsome, and works quickly. It's perfect--and it has a glass window so you can see how much water is left in it and NOT over-fill it as I did the first time! It is great! So simple, easy to put together and easy to use!

Finally getting a fluoride filter to eliminate that. Hopefully they stop putting it into the water altogether. Like many people said, priming the filters was a pain. The white fluoride filters were not so bad, but the black filters were quite difficult and made a mess. Water is flowing well and so far no leaks. I wish there were better instructions for installing the metal spigot, but there was only a picture for the installation of the plastic one. It felt rather confusing because the silicon grommets (or whatever they’re called) are convex on both sides, and you really have to squish them by tightening the bolt to make it a good seal. The white fluoride filters do displace some of the water, so the capacity of the lower chamber is about 1/5 less than the chamber would hold without the fluoride filters. The purified water tastes and smells great! Though it took about 30 minutes to set up, it wasn’t too difficult and so far no rust or leaks. Hoping this is worth the money in the long run.

I spent time comparing the different companies before buying this one. I'm very happy with it. Took me a bit of time to understand how and manage to prepare the cartridges (the tap I have in kitchen is not optimum for it so had to use a different one). The water tastes better than the filtering jug I had. I fill it once a day. The stand makes a huge difference as well.

Update: after a few more flushes the water tastes great. Very happy with the purchase!Let me start off by saying I love the look and quality of the unit itself; however, I’m not sure about the filters. The instructions and method for priming the filters were terrible, but after some trial and error I got the water to flow. So far I’ve filtered probably 10 gallons and discarded most of that because of an unpleasant aftertaste in the water. I’m hoping that it’s from residual dust in the filters and will work itself out after a break in period. Flow was very slow at first, but after a couple gallons it filters pretty quickly. I’m impressed with the quality of the canisters and love the steel spigot and see thru window that allows you to see the water level. It’s also compact, and aesthetically pleasing and will look nice in any kitchen.I will update my review if the water taste improves after a break in period.

I moved into a new rental in October, 2023. Within the first month, I realized my skin and hair felt gross. I was getting breakouts on my face, my hair was getting super oily, even after washing it, and my skin felt really dry and itchy. I have a tabletop ice maker, which I've always filled with tap water. After moving here, I noticed a weird slimy film in the water reservoir.I decided the water here is filled with something that's not good. I immediately bought a filter for my shower and within two showers, the difference was absolutely astonishing. Then I started buying and drinking only bottled water. I even gave my cats and dogs purified water that I bought, ten gallons at a time. In short, I've spent a LOT of money on water.Last summer, I joined a preping group on Facebook and I noticed a lot of people were talking about water filtration systems. Curious, I went on a hunt for information. I compared quality, price, convenience, aesthetic, etc. I finally landed on this Purewell water filtration system. The system arrived quickly and in good shape. It was super easy to put it together. Basically, all I had to do was choose a spigot (it comes with a metal one and a plastic one) and attach it, then install the filter. Within ten minutes of the system arriving, I was filtering water. My system holds a little over two gallons at a time. Between the amount I drink and use to cook with, refilling my water bottles (pictured here), and the amount I use to fill my pet fountains every day, I fill my system about three times a day.At this point, I've had the filter set up for almost four weeks. Since then, I have noticed my coffee and teas taste better, and the water tastes so good, I've been drinking about a gallon a day!Even better: I have spent zero money on bottled or gallons of water since I got my Purewell! It's quickly paying for itself. I highly recommend this water filtration system for you and your family!

Seems like a solid alternative for the price for a gravity filter of this style. I like the 1 gallon size, since I live alone, and this is portable enough for travel. The filter didn't work as expected out of the box. I learned I had to prime the filter, however, pushing water through the nozzle from the sink didnt work for me as expected. I literally had to fill the upper jug full of water, hold it over my head, and suck with my mouth to get the water to initially pull through the filter to prime it. Not ideal, and I had to spend a decent amount of time to figure that out. If I hadn't gotten it primed my own way, I would have attempted to return this. So either get a primer pump along with this, or plan to "beta test" the filter once it arrives. Actual assembly is super easy, and took me about 10 minutes out of the box.

We have a similar product at home and wanted to try this size for our 5th wheel. It is the perfect size for us and the water tastes wonderful! Going place to place and knowing I can filter all the water and have consistency in taste is great. I like to use this water when I’m baking was well…no chlorine smell or taste. The filter is doing great. I put 2 in and won’t have to change them for quite some time! Like years! I was skeptical of buying because the price was pretty low, but glad I gave it a try. It was super easy to put together and works great! It’s worth the money!

This system to filter water is a smaller unit than the Big Birky but works just as well. I like the idea that it is alittle smaller and fits on my counter better than a bigger unit. If you want a slightly smaller unit that works just as well as there bigger cousins this ones for you. The price point is perfect too!
