With the Berkey Filter Priming Kit, setting up your Berkey system has never been easier. The Prime Rite Universal Primer provides a more secure seal between your Black Berkey Elements and a wide variety of faucet types. This ensures that the faucet's water is forced directly into the element, reducing the potential for unwanted leaks or messy spray during the priming process due to a poor fit between faucet and element. Similarly, the Prime Rite Fluoride Element Adaptor ensures a secure fit—and a better, dryer priming experience—between your faucet and Berkey PF-2 Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements. The Anti-Airlock Clip easily snaps onto the top of your system's lower water chamber to prevent "vapor lock", a naturally occurring phenomenon which can impede the flow of water from your system's spigot due to climate, elevation or other factors that may cause system chambers to expand or contract and create too tight of a fit for proper air flow. Two vials of specially formulated red food dye are also included for use when performing a system assembly verification test (also known as the red food coloring test). The assembly verification test verifies that your system has been assembled correctly, and that there are no internal leaks in your system (the test does not demonstrate the complete reduction of all possible contaminants, it is simply meant to confirm correct assembly of system as intended).

This kit is far better than the one they include with the filter purchase. It can be used over and over, and it’s really easy to use.

This works on the sink but it does poured out water everywhere it's a mess I have to use it though to clean out my filters. You have to put towels out everywhere

The first time I installed filters into our new Berky they had to be primed using the rubber washer that comes with the filters. That was a pain in the ........ I'm so glad they developed and market this priming kit and they didn't price it too high. Great job Berky!

Had my Berkey filter for over a year and couldn’t prime the filters. Finally got this and it worked. Now loving my Berkey but I do think this product should be included with the Berkey. They are expensive and I shouldn’t have had to call twice and have had so much trouble. It wouldn’t work with my faucets, I’d drop the ball and try again I. A few months when I saw the filter sitting there unusable, I’d try again with no successFinally with this gadget, i was able to get filters to prime. I now have a working Berkey and I do love it! So much better than bottled water!

The blue adapter piece didn’t fit over my sink head like I had hoped it would.but everything else worked great.

Helps to prime black berkey filter. It come with the dye kit to test your filters. My only caution is to make sure this will fit your faucet. Will not work well or fit some unique designs. In that case I would use the berkey hand pump primer.
