This is great. We harvest our own wood and supplement it with locally purchased wood for our wood stove that heats our home in a Canadian winter . It has the power to do the job and kindling shortages will never be a problem again . The bonus is we can downsize logs more and make kindling in the warmth of the indoors because it is electric and small . I have no regrets.

For a Homeowner with limited duty this little splitter is very good. While this is a compact unit for storage and moving around - it is heavy! I see some people mounting this on a small wagon and towing to the site they want to split wood at. If you are on flat terrain, not a big deal to move around for most, on hilly terrain, the small wheels make it a pain in the a$$. That being said, I like it, and it works well for my needs. As I trim trees on my property I cut the limbs and trunks to be split for firewood.Things I plan to change/modify.Bigger Wheels - or mount on a small wagonI will probably mount a better "lift and pull/tow" extended tow bar on the front, or mount on a small wagon for easier mobility. Will probably add a 2" shim to the pusher to get a more complete split on the tough logs.

I found myself splitting wood from my stack of dry oak way too often when i bought my wood fire pizza oven. It's not a large oven so I like to use short small pieces keep the fire hot and under control. I tired of swinging my splitting axe and purchased this Proyama splitter. It works great and arrived mostly assembled. It's electric so i never need to worry about it starting or running out of fuel. There is a shaft stop I use for my short pieces. The 4 way wedge is also handy for shortening the press distance, though not really for splitting into 4 ways. I bought the short frame which is stable and i just roll it out on the edge of my deck so I don't have to lean over. Customer service was also very helpful.

The Proyama Log Splitter works very well. It handled large pieces of wood without struggling. Knots were a problem for it. The splitter needs to be 50 within 50 feet of an outlet. My family and friends were impressed with it. Does a great job without spending $1,000. Very satisfied.

Liked how the wood split in the middle almost every time. Bleed screw plastic wings are right in the path of the splitting wood, causing the wing braking.

This review is submitted the same day I got the splitter. I put it together laying on its side, stand and all. It did not require 2 people for myself. It took me maybe 40 minutes. You will need a few regular sockets and wrenches. I had it running and split about a half cord of rounds into split pieces in about an hour. It worked quite well. No hang ups or failures. So bear in mind that is just one day and not a review of its longevity but I am happy with what I got for the money. I loved at the other similar electric 6.5 ton splitters here on Amazon, there are several that all look like they are the exact same machine with different paint ensembles. Some Orange and black, some, Black and Orange, Some Blue. Some Black and Purple. Different colored wheels etc. Look at them close and they are the same machine.SOme f them were more expensive. I went with the cheaper price but there were two for the same price to pick from. All in all, Its better than the Axe It replaced, which was how I was splitting in the past. My axe is 20 years old and my body and it are 20 years older for the wear and tear. I got more wood split in an hour than I was able to split over the last few months b few rounds at a time.

I use firewood in my wood stove for most of my heating needs. I buy slab wood from a local sawmill and some of the pieces are really big to handle and/or fit into the woodstove. I needed a log splitter to help me with these pieces. I am 80 years old and not as strong as I used to be. I have been using this splitter now for three months and it works perfectly. It was easy to set up and operate. I can use it indoors at my woodshed during winter without fumes from the large gas-powered splitter that I need for the really huge and knotty logs so I have a steady source of kindling and easy-to-burn smaller pieces. I can very highly recommend it to anyone with similar needs.

I’m going to review this purchase in several parts. I received the item on August 6th.I bought the model with the stand, which requires some assembly. The instructions for assembly are well written and easy to understand. The assembly steps were also well illustrated. 5 out of 5 for this. As they suggest, it is a two-person job.The electronics for the splitter are in a metal box on the left side of the splitter. That includes the on/off switch, and the circuit breaker reset button. The power switch was loose and pushed inside the box when you pressed on it. I took the cover off the box to try to fix this. It turns out there was a crack on the cover for the box. The plastic ring that is supposed to hold the on/off switch in place was also cracked. I glued it back together and waited a day for it to dry. The power switch did not protrude from the electronics box far enough to fasten the repaired plastic ring that holds it in place. I was able to adjust this by moving a plastic piece inside the box that controls how much of the switch protrudes from the box and then attaching the glued-together ring. That did the trick, and I was able to use the splitter. 1 out of 5 for the quality of the switch assembly and the workmanship. After using the splitter for the first time we found the weather-proof cover for the circuit breaker reset switch on the ground. I took the cover off the electronics box again and repaired it in the same way I repaired the power switch. Also 1 out of 5.I contacted the company for replacement parts, but they were out of stock for six weeks. The replacement parts ultimately arrived on October 9, 2024. Again, 1 out of 5 for the delay.Once the repair to the power switch was done, I was finally able to split wood. Overall, I was very pleased with how well the splitter works. It was strong enough to split almost every piece of wood I placed on it. It allows you to split wood up to 22½ inches, but I was splitting 12-inch pieces. There is a bolt you can tighten to keep the splitter from retracting the whole 22½ inches after it splits a log. I set it for 14 inches. Unfortunately, it would not stay tight after four or five logs, and I had to wait for the slide to retract the whole 22½ inches before I could start another log. The company said they would send me an M8 bolt to use, but it did not arrive with the other parts. Overall, 4½ out of 5 for operation of the splitter. It would have been 5 out of 5 without this problem. To split a log, you must hold down the power switch with one hand and a lever with the other hand. This forces you to stand at the head of the splitter to use it. This keeps you safe from logs flying off to the sides of the splitter. (This can happen with any splitter.) It’s a good safety feature. Apart from all the initial assembly problems I am very please with this splitter.
