I followed Martinbuilt on youtube to get this part and learn how to install it into my WJ's transmission mount. It is way better than the stock ones and hasn't given any extra vibration. I'm very happy I bought this. I wish I could buy just one though...now I have an extra.

I already had these in the motor mount positions. My transmission mount was sloppy and this Jeep 5.9 has fully built motor and trans. I worried that in the trans position I would get too much vibration and feedback. WRONG These Inserts in the Trans and motor mount positions together are AWESOME. Highway vibrations at 70mph went away and surprisingly at 80 it was more smooth and like a sewing machine. Launches with the 4.56 gears I installed are VASTLY Improved. The entire vehicle just feels almost stealthy and more capable. Prothane should sell these in a bundle and with the proper spacer washer setup for the transmission. It took less than 45 minutes to remove the old mount air chisel the insert out, clean and press in the Prothane insert. Finding the right washers to use to longer than all the rest of the process. Bundle it all Together Prothane!

If you have a 4.0 WJ with more than 100k these are a must-have upgrade. The improvement in throttle response is tremendous. The second your foot hits the pedal the jeep starts moving.Installation is a bear (like all poly bushings, getting the old rubber&steel liners out of the factory mounts takes forever) but its totally worth it.Make sure you soap up the new bushings when pressing into the old housing, they're a tight fit.

I watched several videos on how to install these mounts. While you can successfully install them with a bench vise a press of some sort makes the job much easier. An arbor press would be fine. I used a standard shop press. One trick to know is you don't have to "drive" these urethane bushings into the steel mounts in a uniform or balanced way. As long as you get 1/2 of the bushing in so it doesn't pop back out you simply move on to the side that is still sticking out and push it in and ultimately the whole thing will line up and pop into place.

My old bushings were shot. I couldn't find a replacement press in polyurethane bushing so I bought new stockers. Once they arrived I installed them and was IMMEDIATELY disappointed. A day of research later and I found these actually will fit a WJ.Purchased these, installed on my original mounts and then installed in my wj.My new bushings had already sat 3/4" lower than these poly bushings. 3 days they were installed. I returned those garbage mounts.Pros - much less engine movement. The whole jeep feels... Better. Hard to describe in words. I also don't suspect these are gonna fail any time soon.Cons - At idle with the transmission in gear, you're gonna notice a whole lot more vibration. My seat almost feels like a massager lol. But once you take off, it's smooth as silk. Only when below 1k rpm with the transmission engaged will you feel these mounts.I couldn't be happier.

You will have a hell of a time installing, you need to have a shop press to insert these , also you need to reuse old mounts metal housing, but once you get these installed (4 hrs later) you will be happy 4x4 knowing you engine isn't jumping around ,great quality
