The ProTapes Cable Path gaffer's tape with black and yellow stripes is 11 mil thick, 4" wide, and 30 yd. long, and is made from vinyl-coated cloth that has a rubber adhesive on each edge of one side and a smooth, nonstick area between the edges to advance cable and wire. The tape, also known as gaffer or gaffers' tape, conforms well to irregular surfaces, has low light reflectivity, and removes cleanly without residue from most surfaces. It resists abrasion and can be torn by hand. The tape can be used outdoors and withstands temperatures from 50 to 200 degrees F. Tensile strength is 45 lb. per inch.

Arrived all warped probably due to heat. Unlike a 6" roll of Cable Path that I have where all the tape is tightly wrapped, this is all loose. Got a role of ProTapes 2" gaff with this & it arrived perfect.This has to be sent back for a replacement.

So far so good. Works as expected. Remember tape has adhesive on the sides not in the middle so the cables can move freely in the middle of this tape.

The tape is pricey but worth it for temporary audio/video/power cable run protection, loose carpet securing and pedestrian alert in performance venues. I use it only for critical areas, e.g. door thresholds, between chair rows, hi traffic areas (regular duct/gaffers tape for walls). Holds well temporarily on low pile and plush carpet and more permanently on flooring. As all my installations are temporary, I can’t speak to the gooeyness long term.

It is wide enough to do the job, highly visible, sticks like it should and comes up with no residue.if you need great tape on a set, this is a darn good choice.

The tape serves the purpose but it will only adhere to smooth surfaces. It will not stick to any other type of flooring. I expected the adhesive to be more like gaffer tape but it is like cellophane, scotch, tape.

When I first got into setting up sound for the Roller Derby bouts, I used gaffer tape. It was annoying because the tape stuck to the wire. Let me rephrase that: it was a real pain in the A. So, I found this tape. GodSend. This is easy to put down and pulling it up is even easier. It doesn't stick to the wire. The amount of adhesive is "just right". It sticks to the court surface, but doesn't pull up anything that was painted on the court (Gaffer tape is too sticky).The only problem is that it is expensive and people go nuts when they use it. Sooooo, I bought a case. That should last me about 10 years.

Pricy, but sometimes the only good solution for taping down cables. clean and sharp appearance. Sticks well to, and removes easily from, level loop carpeting. Would probably work great on tile and linoleum. Might not be sticky enough for asphalt or concrete.
