First let me say I took off 1 star because I ordered white, and I received brown tape. This tape is stiffer than all of the other Gaffer's tape I have used over the past 25 years. It also appears to be just slightly less "Sticky". However, that good be a good thing. I did a test where I taped down two cables on carpet and left the tape on for 5 days. The tape was still adhered to the carpet. (So while appearing to be less sticky, it obviously is sticky enough. When I pulled off the tape there was no residue on the carpet or the cables. The ability to rip it by hand is about the same as others I have used. So, I would use this for a significant size audio venue. After I get the opportunity to do so, I will come back an amend my review if anything changes my perception of this tape.

The overall quality of this tape is very nice, has good adhesion, easy to tear off, and on par with other branded Gaffers Tape. The surface is smoother than others I used (right is the other Tape I have), but I kinda prefer this smoother surface.

As a professional photographer, having reliable gear and accessories is essential, and gaffers tape is something I never go without. I’ve used several brands over the years, and this Sunaldo Gaffers Tape performs just as well as the more expensive options. The adhesion is strong, yet it removes cleanly without leaving any sticky residue, which is a must when working in studios or on location where you need to leave surfaces clean. Whether I’m securing cables to prevent tripping hazards or temporarily fixing gear, this tape gets the job done. One of my favorite things about this tape is how easily it tears. When I’m on set, time is everything—I need something that I can grab, rip, and use without fumbling for scissors. The tape tears straight and cleanly, making it hassle-free to apply even when I’m in a rush. The matte finish is another big plus—it doesn’t reflect light, which is crucial when I’m working with controlled lighting environments. No unwanted glare popping into my shots!I use gaffers tape for a surprising number of things beyond just photography. I’ve used it to label gear, secure backdrops, fix loose props, and even patch up light modifiers in a pinch. The versatility of this tape is incredible—it’s basically a Swiss Army knife in tape form! I’ve even used it during on-location shoots to hold down power cords on rough outdoor terrain, and it held up beautifully against the elements.Overall, for the price point, this gaffers tape is a fantastic value. It’s reliable, easy to use, and can handle just about anything I throw at it—whether in my studio or out in the field. If you’re a photographer, videographer, or anyone who needs a dependable tape for professional or personal use, I highly recommend giving the Sunaldo Gaffers Tape a try.

I had a buddy tell me about gaffer tape. Didn't know what the big deal was until I got my hands on this. It's excellent! This doesn't leave the residue you get with other tapes. It's almost like using a stickier, stronger version of blue or pink masking tape.It tears relatively easy, but I still tend to give it a knick with a knife and pull from the cut. To me, it's just easier and cleaner. There is a little stretch when you just tear, but its not as bad as old school duct tape that used to stretch out took the force of a thousand soldiers to tear.My only wish is that this roll had about 100 more feet because I can see this getting used on just about anything. I haven't used it on a tent or bag that gets rained on yet. Will make an edit if I get to see how it holds up against water. So far, I love this stuff and I will absolutely be getting a few more rolls.Highly recommend!

I use Gaffer's Tape frequently and nothing gets under my skin more than finding I purchased a brand that doesn't rip cleanly and leaves threads hanging from where I tore it. I have yet to have this happen as I've used almost half the roll last night at a local event. I used it in the normal fashion, holding audio cables and electrical extension cords to the floor, both hard surface and carpeting. A few poster boards were held up on hard painted surfaces. Now, the hard surface floor was recently swept, so it was fairly clean. The carpet, who knows the last time the venue vacuumed. In any case, after an evening of use, the tape was still in place and pulled up nicely without leaving any adhesive sticking to the surfaces. I did pull it up and repositioned it in several areas without any problems. I didn't notice any 'walking' of the cables that were under the tape.I don't know if it's qualities will change after sitting in a tool bag for 6 months, but right now, I won't hesitate to purchase this again.

This new style of Gaffer's Tape is a little stiffer than the professional grade tape from Pro-Gaff, etc. but the adhesion and ability to tear both horizontally and vertically is excellent, The cloth structure has a finer/thinner material as a substrate, but slightly more rigid due to the coatings. The result is that it does not conform as tightly to rough or highly angled surfaces and leaves a slight white colored edge after tearing as compared to the name brands. The "residue-free" status will be verified within 2 weeks in a real-world application, and I will update this review if it becomes an issue.Notably, the adhesive application has not bled through beyond the edge of roll and therefore the side of the roll is only very slightly sticky - which is a BIG plus in not picking up garbage on the side of the roll if it happens to be placed on its side on a dirty floor or carpet. For photographers, the complete lack of reflective sheen is a requisite feature, but the white edge showing up after tearing is somewhat limiting for their application. IMHOAnother strong plus is the price. Fully 1/3 less than the big brand names. Also, the 30-ft rolls are a lot easier and of course lighter to lug around than the 50-ft rolls.
