While doing demo work around the house, it started to rain outside so some of the moisture during El Nino definitely made it difficult for me to clean up well since there's just a bunch of exposure everywhere. I needed to make sure though that if I were to continue putting up stuff like drywall and other house remodeling stuff that I'm not tampering with something that's been damaged. That's where this moisture meter comes in and it's been such a great help. It takes several batteries but it'll last you a while. Using it around made it feel like one of those metal detectors when you're metal hunting except it's for water and I think this would be the best case scenario to use it for.

Very accurate from my basic testing. The rate of taking readings is very quick as well, which is nice so that you don't have to wait a few seconds like for some meters and can measure by continuous dragging. Has calibration for ambient for even more accurate readings. Manual has a table for conversion to calcium carbide method as well as the table on standard moisture level comparisons between various materials.Comes with a very nice carrying case and three AAA batteries. The manual is well written and quite clear on how to best take measurements and any pitfalls that one might run into. My only qualm is that the manual is physically tiny and a bit annoying to read. I understand that it has to fit into the slim case, but it's still a bit frustrating.Recommended.

Acheté suite à des traces d'humidité dans le plafond de notre salle de bain.Appareil facile d'utilisation, ne laisse pas de trace dans le mur (absence d'aiguilles).Réagit bien, mais néanmoins difficile d'évaluer l'exactitude des données. Un expert de l'assurance doit passer et confirmera ou pas.
