I have always had problems doing double flairs, never knew if it would turn out or not. This tool took that all away, I have yet to make a bad flair, simply amazing.

This was used on a project to form transmission cooler lines for my Scout ii. A rental tube flare kit would not touch stainless. Yes, it is a vise mounted flaring tool, but you will definately also need a cheater bar to tighten the die bolt, and to make the flare. Again, this is stainless tube, and very tough. But the tool made beautiful flares, suffered no damage, and is now in the provided sturdy storage box, waiting for the next job.

I tried at least 10 times to do a Bubble flare every one was crap. It would do a Double flare just fine. Thats the only reason why I gave it 2 stars.

Skip the cheap flaring tools and get this one. Made life so easy and was extremely easy to use. Instructions were straight to the point and easy to read. Used this to make 6 ends and it did it so quickly saving me alot of time. would highly recommend just wish I would have bought this sooner.

well made and very heavy . this tool worked well on 3/16 s/s brake line making a double flair. I was very impressed, and I should have purchased this a long time ago.

This tool is nice and better than the ones I have in my tool box. This tool is fairly easy to setup and flare brake lines easily. It is not the beast to use under the car but great on the bench with a vise. This will not replace the brake flare tools I already have but makes a nice addition. I only wish it had come with instructions but it is fairly self explanatory if you have ever done brake lines.

This is a much easier and more accurate way to flare the ends of a tube for brake lines, transmission lines or wherever you need a flare. I've used many handheld tools in the past and small ones that clamp in a vise with most success but a few fails. They were cumbersome to use, lots of small pieces to put together and you had to make real sure everything was in line before you made the flare or your flares would be messed up. This one clamps in the vise and is very easy to use, put your line in the appropriate die that matches the line size, set the dial to operation zero which lines up the tubing with the die. Then for a double flare go to operation 1 for that size tubing then operation 2 which makes the double flare. You can also skip operation 1 for and use operation 2 if you only need a bubble flare. Very easy to use and consistent flares. I have redone the brake lines on two cars and also trans lines on one of them. This is the same flaring tool that Eastwood sells but for much less. I only gave it four stars because it did not include an instruction manual like another one I have. Also, the handle was tight where it slides into the tool and gets locked in place. I had to thin the handle a bit to make it easier to attach. Other than that it works real nice.

I put off buying on of these for a long time because of price. That was until I got frustrated with my handheld model ruining materials. This flaring tool makes perfect flares and bubbles every time. It is very heavy and comes in a case. You will need to mount it in a vice to support the tool. It seems really well made almost an overkill for my DIY use. I only wish it came with instructions. I found instructions online from other companies who use the same design.
