This is the second tool that I have from Orion. The other tool is a hydraulic electric terminal crimper. I've used it several times and it works fantastic. I have several of the traditional vice mounted flaring tools. Cheaper ones and more expensive "name brand" ones. I've never been happy with them. It is so hard to get a square flare on a piece of tubing. I did a test run with this OMC tool. It appears to me that it made a near perfect bubble flare with minimal effort. I really prefer the hydraulic route for these kinds of tools. I'm a hobbyist and no expert, but the quality of the tool and its dies appear high quality to me. Everything is cleanly finished and clearly identified. My only criticism is that it should have better use instructions. It took me a minute to figure things out. There are probably videos out there somewhere, but it would be nice to have it within the kit. This kit is very versatile and a gazillion different styles of dies. Looks like it has every type of die that a car guy like me would need.

Do not buy this garbage tool. The dies are garbage. Will not make a centered flare. Despite multiple tries with steel and copper nickel line. Everything was malformed and unusable. Had to revert to my 30 year old Craftsman flare tool.I’m building custom lines for custom hit rods and this will not work like many others have said the flares all leak. Buy an Eastwood tool not this Chinesium

I attempted to flare 3/16" steel and copper/nickle tubing while replacing entire brake system plumbing. this tool did not perform as expected and every double flare resulted in leaks. It appears the dies are either poorly made and out of specifications. The instructions were very limited and not clearly written. The actual hydraulic crimping unit appeared to constructed well. I also attempted to flare 5/16" steel fuel line with the same poor inconsistent results. Again poorly written instruction. I am returning this tool. I did purchase a manual hand held 3/16" flaring tool that performed very well and was able to salvage a few of the lines however most of the lines were scrapped and remade

So far it works just as good as the more expensive ones. make great flares. Just take your time with lining up the dies
