Well made but will move rearward slightly due to the conical shaping of a cornet's tubing after prolonged use, even though it has a rubber backing.The movement is no big deal, just something to expect over a long period of time. Just make sure to install it as tightly as possible to slow that minor problem.

I frequently have to practice with a mute to keep the volume down, and, especially with a a bucket mute, there is a lot of pressure on my left index finger. This pad disperses that pressure nicely and makes playing more comfortable.

My 5th grade son was experiencing discomfort when playing trumpet. We got this and it really helped! It was easy to put on and it stays on very well. It also looks good. We misplaced it when trying a different trumpet and so we got another one, as he is now pretty reliant on it. I highly recommend it!

I got this because one of my knuckles contacts a part of my cornet causing pain. This pad lessens the hard spot and makes a big difference in the comfort of playing my horn.

It helps a lot for holding the trumpet while playing, but it does not fit into place properly. Needs to be tailored to have slight gap to fit around the Third valve for better position on index finger.

My son is a trumpet player. He has an Olds trumpet from way back, family heirloom. He was hoping this help reduce wear on the plating, and he believes it has. He's been using this for about a year now, and always has it on his trumpet. Good quality leather that holds up to the elements.
