My son used his trumpet for a year with the hard case that it came with. Poor baby was lugging that big case on the bus and at school all day. I don't know what took me so long to look for a lighter case for him. The price was great on this and it is so light. He does not use the should strap because he prefers to carry it. Definitely worth the money!

We needed something easier to lug around than the large hard case my son was using. He bring his trumpet to and from school regularly — often times needing to take it along to sports practice or the after school club. He can carry multiple things and not feel weighed down. He can also store it off to the side easily so it’s not in the weigh.It is a soft case, so don’t expect it to offer protection from big hits or being dropped hard. His trumpet was fine, however, after bumping into hard surfaces. The extra storage pocket is useful.Only complaint is that it is still created from when it was originally shipped. That doesn’t affect function, but still looks kind of funky. I’m guessing you could probably reshape by stuffing it fully and leaving it as such for a while. But, that seems like a waste of time and not guaranteed.

This is a great little gigbag, with good padding and detailing. The fit and finish is better than average and the handle and pocket are robust. The only downside is the lack of a shoulder strap, so I added one from a camera Case.

Nice fit. Sufficient padding. Outer bag for mouth piece and oil, polish rag.Light weight and easy to carry. Not meant as luggage, just for transport.

LOVE this for quick back-and-forth trips to church orchestra or band practice! It really is sturdy enough & padded enough for these quick trips with my professional trumpet! Yes --- I trust this bag with my expensive professional trumpet!!! No, I wouldn't use this bag for trips where I knew it would be tossed around. But, it is PERFECT for quick back-and-forth use! The pocket on top holds my eyeglasses & valve oil. I do agree with other reviews regarding the strap - it doesn't do justice to the fine bag itself - it seems cheap --- so I found a sturdier strap. Now I am 100% happy:)

Nice bag. It will accommodate my cornet or my trumpet. With the trumpet, I have to remove the mouthpiece for it to fit. I wish there was just a wee bit more room to store other things. Putting a flip folder inside with the horn is a little tight. Even so, I can't nestle quite a few little things in the main bag and in the side pouch.This is not a padded or protective bag. It's for carrying, not for throwing in the instrument room or under the bus with all the other instruments.The strap is probably fine, but as others have noted, it feels less confident than the rest of the bag.
