I've worked on stages and sets in music, film, theater and photography since the 90's. This is the brand just about everyone I know uses. Not that this is the only decent gaff tape, but do with that information what you will.PSA: This roll in particular is great to throw in a bag for talent or equipment marks, or for securing something small, things like that. If you need to gaff cables on the floor, do yourself a favor and get a wider roll, and learn to do it the right way if you don't know how. There are good reasons for why those rolls are so big, not the least of which being, using more tape is potentially a lot less costly than causing injury to person or property.

I carry this tape in my luggage because so many hotels and airbnbs have unnecessary lights on gadgets, appliances, clocks or any other item that have some sort of digital display or unnecessary light that I can’t unplug I tape it up to keep the room dark and this gaffer tape doesn’t leave any tape residue

does and works as it should, adhesive is good, tearing is easy, and packaging is really simple, Gaffers tape is great for a ton of uses, really no complaint on anything so far.

first heard of the on the Peter McKinnon quick tip something, immediately thought it was sponsored, damn I was wrong. This tape sells it'self, I find myself looking for it everytime. I used generic black tapes, vinyl electrical tape, but this is AMAZINGAbsolutely no residue, in my experiment, taped on my porch at sun for two weeks it was removed with no residue, and if you ask, no it does not stick no more, now just a tiny bit.Unfortunately it's not cheap but I used it on fabrics, on plane windows, camera equipement (yes, to mask the brand).I bought the 2" version and I found it less useful, I just don't cover cables too much and it's hard to rip the large tape, it's just like ripping money... it's expensive. The 1" is my preferred, it's just less material used for what is a temporary fix.

The tape works well. I noticed that I had to use a little more tape than other brands I'm use to using. This wouldn't be an issue if this was regular sized role I'm use to using.I normally use Gaff tape for my photography related projects but I had to use this Gaffing Tape to secure a coax cable across the metal threshold of a door when the cable company installer refused to drop the cable in the correct spot. The tape is holding strong even though this tape gets wet when it rains.I pulled some of it back and saw no sticky residue or damage to the painted surfaces. If the tape held better and I didn't have to use as much to secure things, it would get 5 stars.

The hood on my telephoto lens would pop of from time to time when bumped. Taping it on top & bottom with a 2" piece of tape keeps it from rotating. I can even peel it and store it on my hood to be used again. I was able to reuse it about 6 times before it started curling and then it had to go.I also used it on a back of my sleek cell phone case for traction. The verdict is still out on that. It works but I don't know if it will start curling after a while. I work in an office so it doesn't get abused much. My IT folks use it to bundle cords. Easy on, easy off.
