I like that fact that this tape is sticking to my garage floor to cover up a few extension cords I've got running through walking areas. Do I need to run a couple floor outlet boxes in my floor? Yup. In a pinch, this tape is doing a great job for me while I get the gumption to tear out some concrete!

My husband uses gaffer tape in his studio for taping wires down on the floor so people don't trip on them. The gaffer tape is amazing and is adhesive just enough and leaves no residue. We actually use this to tape up the sides of our window AC's too as duct tape just leaves a residue. I wish it wasn't so pricey, HOWEVER, it's well worth it.

This gaff tape is a solid buy! It sticks like it should, tears off cleanly, and reliably holds everything in place. A reliable choice for various applications, it gets the job done seamlessly. If you're in need of durable and effective gaff tape, this is a worthy investment.

There is a huge difference between gaffers tape and duct tape. Compared, gaff tape is strong, thick, is easy to pull up and doesn't leave any glue residue. I use this in a theater for all its intended purposes, such as making wiring safe and labeling things such as cabling and mic stands, and have found it pretty indispensable in general. I use many rolls, in different widths and colors, and find uses for them every day. Yes, it costs more, maybe even a lot more, than duct tape, but you’d be stupid not to spend the extra few dollars for this. And you’re not stupid, right?

This tape is near perfect. It dispenses well without sticking to itself too much. It tears pretty well with usually one, single thread from the edge that doesn't quite get the memo. It adheres to most surfaces while leaving them unmarked when the tape is removed. I've used it on hardwood ballroom floors, commercial carpet, epoxy-coated cement, bare steel, neoprene, fabric, plastic and foam, latex painted baseboards. In my experience, it has never damaged a surface or left a sticky residue.

This Gaffer tape was affordable and worked well. It did its job sticking down electrical cords to carpet in a meeting hall.

Par for the course of anyone in sound or video production and staging. Not only does the tape look good, it feels good! I just love handling this gaffer's tape when setting up for a gig. No residue, marks, nothing left over when peeled off. We use it in lieu of cable ties for our cable management and have found the end result is superior to what our setup looks like when using cable-ties. Unlike the cable ties, we can actually tape XLR and power cables along the speaker cabinet, for example, to very closely follow the stand or structure in use. This makes for a level of cable concealment that no combination of cables alone could offer. We also tape a bunches of cables together, in sort of like a small conduit, to help make them easier to move and manage. Sure, gaffer's tape is a consumable good and cable ties are re-usable; however, the amount of tape used to tame all of the cables and ensure they securely fastened on the ground and to their connectors probably costs a grand total of three dollars for each event. So, this comes down do I want to have a very nice and professional looking setup for three dollars each time or should I use cable ties each time and have a slightly unpolished look to the discerning guest or in photos taken. While the reasonable answer is to use a mix of gaffer's tape AND cable ties, we find the gaffer's tape easiest to use since it's one less thing to pack-up at the end of the engagement.
