These are much longer and more narrow than other brands. I found them very useful shimming my door and kitchen cabinets.I would recommend them.

We used these to shim a mirror off the wall, they are so thin, nearly every one broke easily.

Just what I needed to level my self to a base cabinet. They are pretty long compared to most shims and tapered very nicely from thin to about 1/4 inch. Not cheap but useful.

Good to have around. Long slow taper allows for good adjustability and versatility. Great for leveling shelves, benches, tables, anything around the house or shop.

I got these to assist in removing a 54"x42" mirror masticked to my bathroom wall. These really helped get the job done without breaking the mirror; the drywall was tore up from removing the mastic.I noticed some people complaining about getting these for crafts. These are rough shims ie tools, and should not be confused with the smooth paint stirring sticks you can get for free at the paint store that people like to use in crafts.

The item description on Amazon, as well as the label on the actual packaging, say 13 pack. I counted them while still in the package. There were only 12 pieces. I counted multiple times, and got frustrated. So I recorded a video of me opening the package and counted them twice after opening. It was only a 12 pack. So why lie in the description, and put a "13 pack" label on the product, if you only sell us a 12 pack? I'm disappointed with the false advertising. The product seems to be good overall, it will complete the job I needed it for. But don't try to mislead people or rip anyone off by lying to them.

I have a master bedroom that isn't square. There is actually almost a 2 inch variance on one side of one 20 foot wall! To be more clear, in order for the wall to be at perfect 90 degree angles with the adjoining walls, one side of the wall would need to be moved forward by almost 2 inches. I found this out while I was installing hardwood floors and found that although the floor was perfectly square the room was not! The flooring fit perfectly under the baseboards on one side, but left a 2 inch gap from the baseboards on the other side! I used the wood shims to extend out the baseboards, then smoothed them over with a little putty and painted them! Now the baseboards cover the flooring on all four sides and the room 'looks' square!

Another shopper indicated that Home Depot has much cheaper shims. I couldn't find any, so ordered these. This product is just fine; the quality is good. I did find that the widths are not consistent, but I guess, in a way, that could be useful. After ordering these, I did see packages of shims for less than $2 at Lowe's. Just for future reference. But the convenience of online shopping and home delivery is a win for Deal Guys.
