  • Installation: easy to use by direct connection with Male NPT (please follow the direction arrow);
  • Use: adjustment with a screwdriver to control water pressure in any range between 0 and 140 PSI, but cannot shut off (maximum pressure: 240 PSI);
  • Features: adopts piston structure,no jamming, reliable performance and durability;
  • Applications: widely used in various types of building water supply systems, fire-fighting systems, central air conditioning, RV travel, etc.

Pressure reducing valve for water is mainly used in various building water supply systems, fire-fighting systems, central air conditioning systems, heating systems, etc. It is used for branch pipe pressure reduction, which can make water supply pressure distribution more balanced, avoid partial water supply overpressure, and optimize water supply zoning of high-rise buildings.Caution.Installation should pay attention to make the direction of flow of the medium in the pipeline and the direction of the arrow shown on the valve rest consistent.

The regulator works as long as there’s water flow but when the water shuts off on the regulated side, the pressure creeps up slowly and equalize to the pressure that is on the high pressure side of the regulator, typical Chinese quality, or lack there of

My in ground pool has a float controlled automatic pool fill system that relies on a rubber faced stopper operated by the float to control water flow to the pool. While this system might work OK with low service line pressures, it could not handle the 70 PSI of my municipal water main, and kept leaking after turning off. I installed this regulator between the water service line and the pool fill valve, and set the output pressure near 20 PSI. That solved the problem and allowed the water to completely shut off. An added benefit was that my water usage as well,as my water bill decreased.

Though the inlet and outlet are 3/4”, which I was looking for but the water flow has to go through a 1/4” hole which would decrease the water flow. This would work for an under the sink filtration system but not the whole house system.

I like that this pressure regulator has full regulation down to zero PSI. I'm using this after a filter which sees 50PSI on the inlet, but I don't want that 50PSI pressuring my storage tank after it fills. The previous brass regulator I used only went down to about 20PSI, which applied more pressure than I liked to my storage barrels. This is a fairly heavy regulator and I'm sure it could handle years of use at heavier flow rates than I'm using. The gauge is hard to read and the gauge didn't want to swivel to a more readable position. I might swap it out for one with larger numbers and a PSI range more suited to my use. Not really concerned as I have other gauges reading pressure on either side of this filter system. My only concern is the FNPT threads tapped into the in/out of the housing. My 1/2" MNPT nipple barely got a full rotation before it became tight, so maybe the tap didn't get run in far enough of bring the threads out to full diameter. With teflon tape and a lot of force, it didn't leak after installation, but the threads didn't seem to be cut sufficiently. Adjustment was simple with a flathead screwdriver, but took a bit of force and torque, didn't feel very smooth. I don't plan to adjust it often, so this shouldn't be a problem unless it seizes up. This is probably more unit than my system requires, but the corrosion resistant heavy construction should last for years. And adjustment down to zero pressure is what I needed.

I made the mistake of paying about half as much for a cheap water pressure regulator. After fighting with that nonsense and returning it, I found this product. Ordered it and it worked instantly after hooking it up with the (2) 1/2" brass male npt fittings and flex tube. The pressure gauge is rock solid and handled adjustments very well. It looks and feels lovely. Two thumbs up!Sometimes, you can buy a cheap-O product and it works as well as the more expensive ones. But sometimes you get what you pay for. In this case I recommend you pay a little more for a quality product, it is a pain in the ass to install and uninstall something like this because you wanted to save $32 dollars.Also, pro-tip, heavier is better a lot of times, this thing is heavy.

In my product reviews I primarily focus on quality and functionality, and end with my recommendation. It should be noted that, while these items ship to me at no cost, there is a significant time investment and a 20% to 30% tax liability. What you are about to read is strictly my unbiased opinion.Quality: It is really hard to tell much about the quality of this type of item without completely disassembling it, which I don’t plan to do. The casting looks decent and the machined surfaces seem to be true. I did screw a fitting into it just to check the threads, and they are nice and smooth.Functionality: While I haven’t yet installed this water pressure regulator, my plan it to permanently mount it in my RV. Before I can do that, I will need to fabricate a bracket and tie into my existing water lines. Since that will take me some time, I wanted to get this review out in a timely manner. This unit appears to fit the bill perfectly.Recommendation: It is very hard to fully evaluate a product like this until it has been in service for a while. For now, everything looks good. If that changes after I have used it for a while, I will com back and edit this review.
