The POWERTEC Dust Control Flex Cuff with Hose Clamps, 4-Inch, delivers an airtight connection from one dust-collection fitting to another of comparable size, while eliminating the need for flimsy duct tape connections or other permanent fasteners. Firm yet pliable rubber construction allows enough flexibility to bridge slight diameter differences in hose or tubing. Pre-molded indents on the cuff allows for easy, airtight clamp installation. Handy set includes one rubber cuff and two steel hose clamps.

The blast gates and rubber connector are perfect, the easily attached to my 4 inch connections. I only have them for a few weeks but they feel very sold, the plastic housing feels substantial, not flimsy like others.I would definitely buy these again

I put a splitter on my festool vacuum to run table saw and miter saw and no loneger have to keep switching hoses. Very easy to use and install. THANKS.

OVERALL THE GATE FITS THE Powertec hose. However after watching you tube hacks this gate looses a lot of vacuum especially on a smaller low powered system like mine.I took the gate apart micro the the gap which was .060"Unlike the You tube video the gate was perfect within side no casting blobs.I found some hard plastic sign material .020" ,glued them cut to size to make the .060".glued the block in place clamped over night cut out the hole.It worked fine.The only problem was my gate was bent on delivery ( the movable part) which was never perfect even after re straightening. I add handle to gate so I could reach it under my saws outside table.Too bad this gate was not made right with a .110" plate that fit right and did not bend flimsy.Typical of the world we live in.

I received exactly what is in the picture. Arrived in good condition. Have to be careful that it is installed in the correct direction of airflow. The side labeled OUT should face the dust collector. You can verify that it is installed the correct direction by feeling the inside of the port. One side of the port will have a bevel to direct the dust up and over the blast gate recess. The other side does not have that feature. Good luck and happy sanding.

These are great gates but Powertech makes 2 versions. This version (70135) has a long blast gate that really limits their versatility. Another version has a blast gate that is a proper size. They both work great but this is just intended as a heads up because the photography doesn’t make this design difference obvious. In fact it rather hides it.I’m not sure why there are two models. All I can say is I use several of the ones with short blast gates and they work great.Ive seen comments about these gates leaking a bit. I think that is by design. That seems to keep the gates from clogging with dust like sealed types do. Ive never felt like the suction was decreased by this.

Quite solidly made but the middle part that slides is easily bent out of shape and then causes stiffness when opening or closing.

I like these blast gates. They work as well as any other metal gate I've used. I've had some of these in operation for three years, and no complaints. They're a vast improvement over plastic gates.– Zero maintenance self-cleaning gate ensures no loss of suction over time due to sawdust build up.– Thumb screw easily adjusts gate friction so they move easily, but aren't affected by gravity or machine vibration.My only frustration – which is the same for all metal gates that I've tried – the hose flanges are very short. If they were 1/2" longer, the hoses would be much easier to attach.

Had to upgrade both home shop and work shop to these gates after spending a few hours a week taking plastic gates down to try and clean out the little bit of dust that prevents them from closing fully. These do not do that. They are a little heavier obviously but thats a small price to pay for not clogging up on you. They close fully so no air passes through the gate causing problems in your collection line. Price is a little high but worth it.

Well made. So pleased with these. Far better than plastic alternatives, especially if you have a multi-gate setup that you change often. Lovely cast body, smooth with no sharp edges.Moveable gate easily locked - make sure installed the right way. Small gap on one side once closed. Not the end of the world, but hey, might as well get the best out of them.The gate is thin and bends if knocked. Straightens easily, but would recommend installing out of the way of feet or equipment pathways.I've bought a few of these now, and will surely buy more as my dust collection requirements increase.Bottom line - super. highly recommended.David

Recibí el producto muy a tiempo ,La fabricación del cuerpo es muy maciza pero la lámina que se desliza por el lado de la salida o paso a causa de la perforación de 4" queda muy débil la lámina y corre el riesgo de después de varias dobladas accidentalmente se corte, me hubiera gustado estuviera más reforzada la lámina que recorre

I initially purchased a couple of these gates to replace plastic gates from Rockler that would constantly get sawdust building up in the seat when in the open position. After a few cycles of opening and closing the plastic gates, there would be enough sawdust built up that it would prevent the gate from fully closing, so I'd constantly have to deal with cleaning them out. I saw these "self cleaning" gates and the design seemed like a good idea, so I tried them and they work great! I ordered two more to replace the remaining Rockler gates in my dust collection system.One issue with them is that there isn't much metal at the edges of the slide on the "open" side (the side with the hole in it). As a result, you have to be a little careful with how you place these gates. I have one of them in the middle of a flex hose laying on the floor, so I decided to place it in a small box with no top that protects the slide in the event the thing gets accidentally kicked, but is wide enough to allow the slide to be moved back and forth. It they had built the frame a little wider, the slide could have been wider and more sturdy.Another small negative is that the flanges where the hoses attach don't provide much area for securing the hoses. I had been using "two wire" hose clamps previously, but they didn't make for a very secure connection on the small flanges, so I picked up some of the standard "band" type hose clamps and they worked fine.Other than these two items which can be worked around, it's a good product and highly recommended.
