Its 4-inch OD port allows it to work seamlessly with most standard sized 4” ID dust collection hoses, tools and fittings. The mini dust hood features a deep, wide-mouth design with a built-in guard that collects and protects your dust collector from larger debris. Unlike our larger Big Gulp version (POWERTEC 70122), this item is intended for regular to mid-sized woodworking dust collection projects. I removed the grinding stones from a Delta 6" variable speed grinder and replaced it with mop sanders (120 and 220 grit). Instead of hooking and unhooking my dust collector hose and clamping it to a table I wanted hoods that would fit my needs, but not too big that it wouldn't fit under my hanging cabinets and still open the doors. These were perfect for my application.

This tablesaw used to create quite a cloud of sawdust until fitted with a dust collection system. I've become quite spoiled, sweeping only every 3 days, instead of 3 times a day.

I built a miter station and wanted a port for the dust and this worked pretty good. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had the flange go all the way around, not sure why they only put it on two sides. I grabbed some sealer and closed up the edges and filled in the holes on the side. Other than that, looks good and works great for what I paid for.

This is a great dust chute. Sturdy with consistent and smooth surface. My intended use was to mount it inside of a mobile miter saw cart with built in hood. The problem for my use was its height and depth were too large to fit in my cabinet with shop vac and dust separator. Additionally, the 4" to 2.5" adapter to connect to shop vac adds additional height. My solution was to find a much smaller funnel with 2.5" connector. Again, no problem with the product. It's great for what it is but if you are planning on mounting inside a cabinet that is shared with a shop vacuum than it's probably too big and I don't think the 4" opening would add benefit since it would then connect straight to a reducer anyways.
