Made out of good quality aluminum. It is of a good thickness so not to bend easily. With only a .001 inch deviation it helped with my measurements to the bell housing to pressure plate. It is good and square, make sure you wipe off any oil on it to maintain slip resistance, didn’t slip on me when I was using it.

I use this daily to cut photo paper with a razor blade. Great weight. Stays put. Easy to keep fingers out of range of the blade. Contact with paper is gentle. Excellent product.

The "POWERTEC 38 Inch Straight Edge" is a tool that is, according to the test I use for woodworking tools, perfectly straight. It has a nice silky-smooth finish, isn't going to rust and is easy to handle. Not only that, but it is stable sitting on its bottom edge and within my rather limited budget. I should have got one of these for my shop decades ago.

This is a great straight edge and for a great price. It's dead flat and solid. My only complaint is that the solid silver design is hard to see where it meets the surface of whatever you are using it against. A bit of paint to add some contrast would fix that.

This is a very nice instrument. Does not bend. Has a flat edge so it can stand up . Numbering is clear and readable. Very happy I bought this. My use is guitar repair.
