I purchase the HB2805BPowerSmart 24" 80V Self-Propelled 2-Stage snow blower as a Christmas present I debated ordering it because I was told it wouldn’t come till after Christmas. I was surprised that it came in only 2 days. I had one battery that wouldn’t charge. Customer service said they would send me a new battery. I received it within 2 days. It was nice to not get a runaround. Love this thing its light weight but has a lot of power.Easy to control even my twelve year old grandson can handle it. One of the Best Buy’s I have ever made. If I could I’d give it 10 stars

I am shocked that this item has received any more than zero stars. I purchased this and used it once.. Upon my attempt to use it a second time I immediately received a "fault notification" indication when the auger attempted to actually throw snow. I contacted PowerSmart and initiated a warranty, and received the following response; "We have forwarded this to our management team and am waiting to hear a reply. I should hear something this upcoming week and will follow up." Thanks for that, as it is snowing 7" a day here in Wisconsin. After waiting more than a week, I received a message to take it to a specific service location, but when I contacted them, they said they do not service PowerSmart, because "PowerSmart does not respond to them in regard to service parts". If after reading my review anyone is still considering purchasing this terrible snowblower, I would strongly encourage you to 1) look at a map of their service locations, and 2) Contact the service location near you to ask if they actually service PowerSmart.Lastly I would add that it is next to impossible to make u turns with this because you have to turn off the auger to move backward and maneuver. Hope this helps make the choice easy.

The order experience was super easy. The snow blower came in just a few days and was left next to my garage for easy access to put it in the garage. This electric snow blower is really easy to use and I would highly recommend buying one. The battery life lasts along time, it throws the snow really far for quicker snow removal and it is easy to maneuver.

This snowblower arrived quickly and was a breeze to put together by myself. It works as described and was a big upgrade from my old gas one stage blower. Just a button press to start and you’re on your way! The battery life was more than sufficient to clear out my driveway. The only real negative I can think of is the 3 second auto shutdown when not moving. It’s way too fast, but not a deal breaker since it’s so easy to start back up.

Product claiming to be easy to assemble often aren’t, but as long as you’re careful about positioning the control cables when attaching the upper handle it was a breeze. It’s easy to operate and seems as powerful as advertised, although I’ve yet to use it on a really heavy snow as yet. Overall, it seems like a good product at a very good price.

I purchased the PowerSmart Self-Propelled snow blower. We only had one snowfall with enough snow for me to try out the PowerSmart and it performed very well. I really like the experience of working with an electric snow blower and not having to deal with the smell of fumes and having to leave my clothes outside in the garage because of the fumes smell that takes days to get out of my clothes. I was concerned about the battery run time of 20 minutes, but so far it has proven to be more than enough as the blower will cut off pretty quickly to conserve energy and is pretty easy to restart when you are ready for the auger to be active. I still had over 50% of the battery life when I was done. So far, so good!

I have had the unit for just over 5 weeks now and have only used it 3 or 4 days for a total of maybe 6 runs. It does great with light snow but does struggle a bit with more dense snow. Even if the snow is half height of the intake funnel, if its dense then it's going to have a hard time, so for the dense stuff you want to reduce the width of the path you make.Annoying quirks:-The automatic shutoff of 5sec is annoyingly short, so when I am turning the unit around, and let go of the auger/drive I end up having to often go through the power up cycle again. The timer needs to be longer. 30 seconds would be a more reasonable time limit.-The drive will not function when in reverse and the auger switch is activated, which is confusing and can cause you to think the unit isn't operating and it also makes it more difficult to operate when you need to go in reverse because if you don't do the sequence correctly, you'll end up canceling out the commands/activate a fault and as you try to do the correct sequence, the 5 sec aoutomatic shut off kicks in and you have to restart it.-The chute mechanism has a rotation of roughly +/- 85deg and cannot be aimed slightly backwards which would be very useful in areas where you need to direct the snow behind you a bit-The drive activation is a on/off type lever and the speed and direction are on a separate adjustable lever which makes it difficult to quickly change the direction of the unit in the way you need to while blowing snow. Ideally, the forward and reverse drive should be on the same rocker lever and with the speed separate to allow more natural driving-The battery has a built in LED so you can use it as a flashlight (not sure why this was added, but ok...) but the problem is that if you accidentally bump the switch on the battery while you are putting the battery in the blower, the light activates and then the blower has problems runnning. The first time this happened it took me 15min to figure out why the blower kept faulting on me. I guess the power draw of the LED is too much... The placement of the battery button and the fact it is also the battery level check button doesn't help either as when I put the battery in the unit with big mittens, I accidentally bump the button 40% of the time.-The unit is pretty light for a snowblower which is great if you need to push it around unassisted, but the lack of weight and large frontal area makes it difficult for it to get traction when there is a lot of snow it needs to plow through. I may need to add some weights to the back to give it more tractionNow The Bad:I have found that the drive system uses a plastic gear on the drive shaft that is driven off of a metal gear on the motor side and in the handfull of times I've used the unit, it has broken a tooth on the plastic gear so the drive system now has problems. I am trying to get in contact with the manufacturer to get the part replaced, but so far have had trouble getting in contact with them. Given the duty of the drive system, this gear really needs to be made from metal because in the few short times I used the unit and in the manner it was used in, there should have been no reason that a tooth broke from that.
