This set of heat resistant tape is perfect for all crafting needs. The tape adheres securely without leaving any residue, which is essential for ensuring a clean and smooth press on vinyl, heat transfers, or other materials. It works flawlessly in heat press applications. Ideal for DIYers and small business owners.

The name brand tape is so expensive I'm always hesitant to use it unless I absolutely need to. And I use it sparingly even then. So seeing this budget alternative, I wanted to give it a try, but not without some testing first. After all, I sometimes need to trust some important electronics to the heat and electrical resistance of these tapes. When cutting some test strips loose from their rolls, I found the budget tape to be a little bit weaker on the adhesive side by pulling off the roll a bit easier than the name brand. When cutting, the name brand was noticeably more difficult to get the cut started. But about the same as the budget brand for the rest of the cut. Then I moved on to the heat testing, with about the same amount of both tapes hanging off the end of a metal strip. I wanted to test the heat resistance of the tape itself and the adhesive. The budget brand came up significantly short when the tape was heated, although the adhesive held up fine. After a fairly short time with the heat gun on high about 1" away, the budget brand tape began to melt. That was when the first photo was taken. Then, to check the brand name in comparison, I continued heating. The budget brand melted all the way to the base, and the name brand never showed any sign of warping or melting at all.Given the poor performance on the heat test, I don't think I can trust this budget alternative on the electrical insulation side either. I don't have the equipment to determine the actual insulating abilities of the budget tape compared to the name brand, but if it can't take the heat I don't think I want to trust any expensive electronics to it. My past use of the name brand tape has often been to cover exposed electrical connections and I have never had a problem. I just don't have that level of confidence in the budget brand.Overall, I am giving this 2 stars because I think I'll still find it usable for those "just in case" situations where I want to add a bit of extra protection against accidental contact. The ability of the adhesive to hold up under the heat makes it a step above standard electrical tape for that use. And I suspect the insulating properties will be sufficient to protect against accidental or momentary contact at the typical low voltages found in electronics where I typically use this type of tape. But for anything where I expect to actually need both heat and electrical resistance in a thin and durable tape, I'll stick to the name brand.

I always use an excess of tape to help avoid failures while heat pressing. This tape worked for my needs. It isn't top of the line/wow my socks off. However, it is a solid economical choice for me.

6 Rolls of Heat Tape for Heat Press $6.99At just about seven bucks at this time, these are a great value, I think. I like the smaller rolls like this because I have small hands and it's easier for me to get the design held down over the tshirt. These are being used with a heat press and transfer paper. They're great!
Very very useful and came quickly
