This tape sticks really well but it doesn't transfer enough heat to work with a CPU.

It does a good job at conducting heat. It isnât as good as a thermal pad but it works well for attaching a heatsink. Itâs pretty sticky and isnât the easiest to remove.

This tape smells a little funny, but thereâs nothing funny about how well this stuff works. I was having severe overheating issues with a passive cooled thunderbolt dock and this saved it from basically becoming junk. Iâve taped it to an aluminum block under my desk and itâs gone from being extremely warm to ice cool. Overall very happy with this product. Will update if the adhesive starts to degrade like other reviews are pointing out.

Seems fine except it smells like mushrooms/fungus... anyone else experienced this?

Works well for our heat sink applications. The Package they deliver the tape in is just amazing. I am always so frustrated haveing to go through datasheets and figure out what the Adhesion power or the breakdown voltage is but this HPFIX tape puts it all on the bag. LOVE IT. I also saw a review claiming that it doesn't work so i added some images showing that it does work. In the image on the right side you can see the part w/o tape and on the left with tape. With tape stable at 85C ( pay attention to the center of the screen) and 110.2C without tape (pay attention to the HI mark on the screen).

- This tape comes off the roll really tacky and gummy/pliable. I haven't had a delamination failure except for when a surface isn't completely flat, smooth, and clean. Surface prep matters and the resin that the chips/strips/boards are made of hold the tape extremely well and will pull the tape off of an uneven/rough/dirty/greasy surface. Flatten ANY uneven surface with a grinder or beltsander, a little wet 220 and 400, clean, let dry and apply. It'll stay anchored.-I have been using this Thermal Tape for a few months and have gone through 2 rolls on various LED lighting projects. So far none of the strips, tubes, or chips have overheated while at full power for hours at a time. Works just as well as compound or paste, IME.- Way cheaper, faster, and cleaner than the fancy compounds.

So much easier than thermal past and seems to transmit heat to my heat sinks super well. This product makes cooling random objects so much easier as it combines the thermal paste and mechanical affixment into one (ie so you can just slap heatsinks on things)

It looked like the high quality thermal tape I'd used before (also off Amazon) that are stiffer, having a metal thermally conductive layer in the middle. This tape has the adhesive but no metal layer. Seems to conduct just as well. My biggest problem is removing it leaves a LOT of adhesive bits behind, as it doesn't peel off cleanly. I used this to secure my glass bed to my CR-10 3D printer and when I removed the bed to clean it, the adhesive seemed to separate and leave gobs of itself on both the glass and heated bed. The max temp it was used for was 60 c which may be beyond what this tape should be used for. I'll use it for lesser heat projects like Raspberry Pi, etc where removal will be less frequent. It also arrived with a massive hump like you'd find in really old masking tape that has shrunk due to age. Maybe this plays into the adhesive problems. At the very least it's a decent double sided tape for non-thermal stuff.

I ordered this thermal tape in order to attach heat sinks to various electrical components of mine, primarily attaching Peltier coolers to ex-CPU heat sinks and water blocks to attain sub-ambient temperatures in the CPU cooling systems I design. I neglected to think about how skinny 10mm really is, but despite having to put on a bazillion adjacent strips to obtain full-coverage of the hot surface, the tape performs extremely well both in heat dissipation and in just attaching the components to one another securely!I recently started backing my LED strips with this tape as well, at least when adhering them to metal surfaces, which makes a noticeable difference in the temperature of the strips during operation.
