Works great,I wish I had bought one long before this.I probibly wasted enough gas trying to fill my lawn mower tank to pay for the pump and hurt my back trying to hold up a 5 gallon can of gas. This was the best purchase for my snow blower! I live in Montana where the wind is howling and the snow is blowing. This wonderful gadget eliminates the need to take my gloves off and unscrew those horrible gasoline cans. I don't have to hoist a heavy gas can, potentially spilling gas on my machinery and the floor. I simply insert the wand into my gas can and put the nozzle in my snow blower's gas tank and VOILA! Instant gas! It has excellent suction with a rapid flow, taking very little time to fill the tank. It barely makes any noise and is extremely sturdy. It's easy to use and fits perfectly in the gas can as well as being easy to hold. This inexpensive gadget has been an absolute blessing that I can use year-round.

Does not always work. Sometimes you have to hit it on the side. When it works it works well.

Lifesaver!! Unit is small and easy to use. I use the unit to fill a diesel heater in my garage during the winter. This pump gets a grade of C+.It gets the job done, but you get what you pay for. And this is inexpensive.I have only used it for 10 gallons of petrol so far. The shaft doesn't quite reach the bottom of my jerry cans, but it gets low enough to get most of the gas out. It leaks a bit at the base of the filler hose while it is pumping, but not too much, and a rag at just the right place makes it work good enough (if it didn't leak, i would change its grade to a solid 'B'). The transfer speed using 6 fully charged AA batteries, is, in my humble opinion, perfect; much faster flow than i had expected but not so fast that it pushes itself out of the hole. It took maybe 1.5 minutes to drain a 5 gallon jerry can into my car.It isn't perfect, but as long as it keeps working like it is now, i will be happy enough, and at the low price point i picked this up, i would consider recommending it to a friend and i would probably buy it again.

On the one hand this is a flimsy toy-like product that surprised me by working at all. On the other, I used AA lithium cells and the pump was quiet, efficient, and quickly worked to empty my lawn mower tank this season. It didn't get the last drop but it was close enough to let the engine run out without my feeling guilty or tasting gasoline.

Just received the unit. Unpacked it, and found that one of the AA battery holders was not built properly. There is no negative terminal! That means it is totally useless. However, the unit seems to work fine with two D batteries, so it is not a total loss.EDIT: I used the unit to fill the diesel tank on a Kawasaki Mule 3010 diesel. It worked great! MUCH easier than holding up that five gallon can.
