Perfect size- not too heavy and will cover any type of fire if needed. Nice quality and easy to hang, but doesn’t take up much space if stored in a cabinet.

Great for serious gifts for loved ones at Christmas! Heavy duty...sized for quick response to household mishaps! Prior to this purchase I learned the need for Extinguishers at Highway accidents where life and death are separated by seconds...first on scene rescuers become heroes when they know they are covered by hand held fire extinguishers!

Beware, I will provide you with my experience and you can decide for yourself. I was sorting out all of the fire extinguisher issues at my residence. I realized that the extinguishers I have would contaminate my kitchen so I started the research and before you know it, I ordered a set of these water based extinguishers that are supposedly non-toxic.At this point I had four extinguishers and they all have the typical straight pins and a plastic tie that keeps them in place (versus a regular functional cotter pin...). Now I have never actually used an extinguisher because I have luckily never had to deal with an out of control fire situation. However, the extinguishers and the setup looked a little suspect to me. I wanted to try and use one of these and get rid of the silly straight pins and plastic ties and went to the hardware store to buy proper cotter pins for my units. Eventually I got to shoot this one. This is what happened: I shot the extinguisher in my yard for about 5 seconds and I noticed the following: half of all of the pressure was gone but it felt like about 90%+ of the material is still left. Well in a fire situation it seems like I would only have a total of about 10 seconds of a working extinguisher due to the low installed pressure. So I called the fire extinguisher service shop near by and they said that to re-pressurize the unit, if even possible, I would have to pay about $75. In other words to use up the actual materials in this $20 fire extinguisher, one would have to spend an additional several hundreds of dollars recharging the darn thing. When I expressed to the local service guy that this seems like nothing but fraudulent activity by his industry, he also warned me that if I dispose of the item because it was more or less useless, then I would be polluting the environment. That is the typical gaslighting approach one gets from dishonest commercial oriented people. Yes we all may be a part of these problems, I think there is a significant hierarchy as to which people are the GROSS POLLUTERS, enough said...

I like the stainless steel finish and the fact that it is rated 1A,13BCK, most dry powder extinguishers are rated 1A, 5BC. For anyone who may not know K is a rating for metals like magnesium that can burn like used in flares and is difficult to extinguish although I've always seen it displayed as "purple K" but I just think that was a special specific powder in the dry powder models. The main thing I was looking for is the easy clean up liquid water-based solution for use in my cars and garage so if I have to spray an engine down, it won't leave harmful, difficult to clean up, abrasive residue that can be bad if it were to get into the engine. Actually, I prefer CO2 for the same reason, but they are prohibitively expensive and have a limited range, you have to stick the nozzle bell right up to the fire. I am speculating that this formula is something similar to Fire-Ice gel. an amazing product that you can see videos of it in action on YT. The only things I could wish for is a larger version and a better, metal mounting bracket. I cracked the bottom of one bracket when removing the extinguisher to mount the bracket (which are hi-viz yellow like the pictures, someone complained that they weren't red). it still holds it well. Someone else said they only received one instead of two. They can be ordered either way. I ordered two and received two.
