Why do our water-based fire extinguishers work for grease and electrical fires?
Because the extinguishing agent forms a thin film of water on the surface of the combustible material, isolating the combustible material from the air and thus extinguish flames. I bought a 4 pack.They had leaked or whatever in the box. Totally useless and I missed the return window. *Update* The seller was kind enough to reach out to me and offered an acceptable resolution. I will shop with them again.

While I should hope that I never need to vouch for the functionality of these extinguishers:They arrived 4 to an exterior package box.Included separate mounting brackets per extinguisher.Cans are glossy, Fire Truck Red with Matching Red Plastic Tops(For all the Type A's)Really nice, basic instructions on the cans.Instructions include illustrations of hands on the extinguishers, so most non readers should be able to operate.Each Extinguisher is approx 1 + 1/2 size of a 1980's Pledge Furniture Polish Can (or Aquanet.? The big hinkin steel cans.). And/or the same height as most paper towel rolls.Not too small. Not too large that you can't mount behind a doorway, hide behind draperies / bed stands / kitchen cabinets or mount under kitchen islands.While the Exterior Box was clean,My cans did have some "Factory gunk" on the exteriors of the Individual Extinguishers.(Factories are dirty places!)Definitely wear disposable gloves when handling fresh out of the Amazon Packaging.You'll want to wipe these down with Clorox Disposable Wipes or equivalent.And then once cleaned up, they're good to mount or place wherever the instructions allow.After retiring and recycling 3 dozen expired, heavy steel extinguishers (when selling the family home), these are a really nice alternative to the traditional bulky extinguishers.When these expire, you can shuffle the working models around, and drop the expireds off at the County Waste Facilities OR watch for the local Fire Department recycling drives.

I originally gave this fire extinguisher a very poor review because the extinguisher leaked upon delivery.No return or exchange was possible. After my review was posted the extinguisher company contacted me and offered to send a new extinguisher, which they did. Thank you for standing behind your products. product.

This is a nice fire extinguisher. I got this to use in our camper trailer. It is pretty compact and comes with a mounting bracket. Easy to use and comes with thorough instructions.Definitely a must have for any kitchen.
