Works fantstic, I have a level 2 charger at home but my work has outlets in the parking lot. I purchased this to slow charge while I am at work all day. Have been using for a couple of days with no issue. Charges great at level 1 speed.

I bought this to charge an X5 45e when I'm on the go. I chose it specifically because it's a level 1 charger. That's very important because you're not likely to find 240-volt outlet when you're on the road. Being a level 1 charger, it's not the fastest-charging product in the world, but that's not what its job is. Its job is to safely charge an EV from a regular household 120V outlet. There are Level 2 chargers out there that claim to work with regular outlets, and they do... except that the wires get very hot. Not exactly reassuring, especially if you're plugging it in at someone else's house or parking garage. Over time, I suspect that both the device and the outlet could be harmed by the amount of current being thus drawn.This unit stays cool when in use, is nicely portable, and even includes a convenient bag for transport. I've left it outside charging the car in the rain several times with no issues. I don't feel like I'm going to start a fire or damage something when I plug it into a regular outlet. Your charging speed will vary on a number of factors- I get a full charge on the 45e in about 16 hours.Do measure your space before you buy- the cord is 21 feet, and there's nothing more frustrating than being a few feet short. Also, you'll want a couple extra feet so that you have some slack- you don't want tension on your car's charging port.

Very happy with this product , the winter started and working fine in -15 degrees, until now, the wire a little thin and became hard because the cold weather, but can be manipulated, I recommend this product

Half the time I plug in, I come back the next day to find a "charging failed" warning on my dashThe other half the time, I come to my car in the morning with no fault, but the battery is where I left it the previous dayEvery once in a while, it will charge to 100%. This seems to happen when I disable scheduled charging on my volt, and charge immediately, but then I end up paying the higher electric rate. I don't have time to come babysit it at 1AM. So I'll probably throw it in the trunk and go back to using the level1 charger that came with my car. Unfortunate.I just don't get whats going on. I see the occasional code on the charger discussing an overcurrent protection. I keep adjusting the charging currents on both the charger and vehicle to assure they are matched. Doesn't seem to make a difference.
