Opening up the box to this radio, I felt my childhood rush over me! This is just like stepping into the 80s again - setting it up was just like riding a bicycle, I didn't need any instructions! Now I need to find cassette tapes and show my kids what that's all about. I might even pull out some of the ribbon so they have to wind it back up. The only thing I was confused about was how to tune the radio stations. The dial is on the right side of the front, unmarked and kind of camouflaged. I guess I should have read the instructions for that... Only thing that reminded me this wasn't the 80's was there is a hook up for mp3. Anyway, I love this cassette player and glad I decided to try it out.

I like it so far. Listening old cassette singles. Sounds good. Unlike most newer players these days, this one actually plays at the right speed. I love it.

For a small little unit, this does produce considerable sound volume, both in the speakers and the headphones. It has the ability to record from the tape deck to the flash media, and for that it is quite versatile. Not only can you listen to your tapes, your mp3s but also record from your tapes to your mp3s. The quality of the build is above average and the material is durable. There were no issues with the unit, other than some design decisions which may or may not effect everyone. For example, the placement of the handle bar, is right where the headphone jack is, so unless you are using an angled headphone connector you are going to be bumping into it if you hold it at the same time. I ordered this boombox and I gotta say I was really impressed with what I got for the price, I have a bag of older cassette tapes that I have from my childhood and honestly I never thought of getting a Cassette player to listen to them, I'm very happy to report that this boombox works flawlessly, I didn't use any of the battery functions as I don't carry those kinds of batteries...I dunno many people that carry D-cell batteries, either way the power cord worked fine for my use case, now be warned this tape player is LOUD, I dunno what they did but if you listen this with headphones plugged in be aware that it gets extremely loud. I also used the USB stick function and it switched over to playing directly off the stick effortlessly, theres no LCD but there is voice audio to indicate when its using the stick. I did get a chance to try the recording function as I wanted to record some of my older cassette tapes to an MP3 and it worked perfectly, some of the older tracks transitioned quite well to the audio and feels very authentic without me having to purchase anything online. A bonus was the radio function which again no complaints here it worked as intended and delivered clear precise audio. I am very happy with this little boombox it feels like it gave me a blast from the past.

This radio has no brand name anywhere on the box. It only has a model number: WTB-795S.It can do many things. It can play AM, FM, or short wave radio, Bluetooth, MP3 files from a USB flash drive or TF card, and an audio cassette. It can also record on the flash drive, TF card, and audio cassette.It's a bit difficult to find AM stations on this radio, because it has an old fashioned analog tuning knob. Some might like the "retro" styling, but a digital tuner would have made it easier to find stations. But once you're able to find an AM station, it comes in clear and loud. That's saying something, because I have difficulty with AM reception in my apartment. But this radio's AM reception is loud and clear.Its FM reception is also loud and clear. And FM stations are easier to find on this radio. As is the case with radios generally in my apartment.I was unable to find any SW (short wave) stations. That's normally the case. SW reception is not very good where I live (so many 5G and WiFi signals, and wires and cables and concrete and steel causing interference). So if you live in a similar urban environment, don't expect good SW reception with this radio.But my favorite part about this radio is its ability to play -- and record -- MP3 files, onto either USB flash drives or TF cards.TF cards are not included, and I didn't have any on hand, so I was unable to test this radio's TF abilities. But it had no trouble playing MP3 files from my flash drive (after I formatted the drive correctly). I plugged my drive into the USB socket, and the radio immediately recognized it and played the files.The radio did initially have trouble recognizing the flash drive. Then I learned from the instruction booklet that this radio requires that flash drives be formatted FAT rather than NTFS. So I reformatted my NTFS flash drive to FAT via my computer, and when I reinserted it into the radio's USB socket, then it played well.This radio did not recognize the MP4 files on the flash drive, but it doesn't claim to play MP4 files, so I can't fault it for that. It's still unfortunate, because so many audio programs are released as MP4 files.But the best feature about this radio is that you can transfer audio cassette tapes (or radio programs) into MP3 files, recording your tapes' contents onto a USB flash drive or TF card.You can also record from the radio, flash drive, or TF card onto an audio cassette.This radio has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. And a built-in mic for the tape cassette recorder.It runs on either an AC plug (included), or four UM-1 batteries, or two 18650 batteries. These are not your standard AA or AAA batteries, despite the similarity in sizes.The instruction booklet is helpful. It's written in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German.

Geeze, a cassette player? Are they even available anymore? Although that is a reason I wanted this, I have an old cassette of my father playing guitar and singing, but no longer had the means to play it, now I can record it and transfer it to my PC when I want to hear it again.As I said, the speakers are quite good. The sound is deep and clear, and even at full volume there was no distortion or anything rattling. The body feels solid, and well put together, and has a little weight to it. I'm guessing because of the speaker magnets, yet isn't too big or cumbersome to carry around.The AM/FM radio has good reception, and also has shortwave reception too. In addition it has built in bluetooth so you can stream you music to it if you wish.I like that it offers both battery and D/C choices, and the cord is removable when you want to go portable on battery power. The batteries can be either 2 - 18650 lithium-ion, or 4 - UM1 batteries.Note: I have NO idea whatsoever what UM1 batteries even look like, a search on Amazon didn't return them. But the 18650's are easily available, so I'll just use those.There is an SD slot and a USB slot, and you can upload/download to them from the radio or cassette, so you can have as many songs available as your media will store.Pretty good radio.
