Seems very durable. Takes some learned skill.

I own a tile company so I am familiar with using mortar. Easy to mix with a hand mixer or trowel. Mix to a loose peanut butter mix, wear gloves, it will dry out your skin otherwise. I used Sheetrock mud trowel for the front edge of the coping block where it meets the pool. Use a grout float for the top side. Wipes clean and will leave a haze but sprays off clean in a couple hours after it dries. Highly recommend. Some before and after pics.

Every time I tried to enjoy my pool, I couldn’t help focusing on my pitted cool-deck around my pool. The pool is 20 years old, so our options were to resurface for thousands or repair. At 55 years old it was a little tough on my body but took it slow over a few days and it looks like new again!!! I mixed 12oz powder to 1 once binder at a time. It was easy to mix, a little trial and error on how to lay it down and clean it up. Since my deck was just pitted I just rubbed it into the crevices with my gloved fingers, doing a small section at a time, then wiping with a damp sponge. The color matches pretty well, but I may paint over it just to give a consistent finished look. I used a container of “ez patch 2” as well and liked that a little more , but this was cheaper and worked just as well.

This product worked great, but it was too course, and therefore required excessive amounts of time and sanding to get to the finished product. Just needs to be a smaller granule.

I'm on my 4th batch of this. Applied 2.5 of them 4 years ago for large sections of Kool deck that had come off in chunks, some as big as 6" x 2'. This has held for 4 years and I am now just repairing some minor cracks (totally expected in FL heat) and painting it again. I'm giving it 5 stars based on that alone. But despite meticulous measuring on every bottle, I have run out of the bonding agent with plenty of power left to go each time. As expensive as this is, that's ridiculous. They either need to give better directions (ie volume measurements instead of weight) or recheck what they're sending because even with a kitchen/scientific scale, their measurements don't match mine.

Worked as advertised! Easy to mix and use. So far so good, used it to repair some fairly large areas of cool deck that cracked and was removed. Would buy again.

This an a good patching material for Kool Decks, if you can live with the mismatched color. I do not believe any patch is going to make an invisible repair, the color is always going to be off, especially on older pools. It looks like it was made from white Portland cement (very expensive) which accounts for the price.
