I was leary about getting one of these. I travel a good bit for work, needed this to keep the pool level up when traveling so the wife would not have to be checking the pool. One in place it has worked great, keeps the water level up, survived several days of freezing weather. Has been a good product and does it's job.

This looks ok by the pool which was one of my worries and works like it supposed to.

Seems to work alright once I was able to level and stabilize it on my hot tub. Important Note for Spa Users: I had to attach a plastic ring around the adjusting nob to prevent the tub cover from pressing down on it when I replaced the cover after use. The nob is directly attached to the float. When depressed by the hot tub lid, the waterflow does not shut off. I used the lid to anchor the simple float mechanism and kept the hose faucet on just under a quarter turn. - not fully open.

Installation was easy as 1,2,3. Leveling feet work well, use a level to get it even, this is important so that the float is balanced.. other than that, pop it at the edge of your pool and forget about adding water

I don't know if it's doing its job. When the water level rises and the water stops, there are obvious leaks in other places. I think this is unacceptable and the leak could flood the whole garden. It's obviously not keeping the pool water level normal while I go out.

The plastic parts do not have a positive way of staying put. This is the second unit, although when I purchase it I thought it was a different product, the box is a different color and shape, but the valve and attachments are the same. I drilled the cover that goes in the water and ran 4 small S.S. pan head phillips sheet metal screws to hold the cover to the larger housing that transition into the water that maintains the water level. Just a word of caution you need to be careful where you place the screws as to not inhibit the float travel...Just so you know I've restored planes and cars, so I know which I speak...

Our pool service company owner recommended this device to help keep our pool water at the appropriate level. We have mobility issues, so this addition was a perfect solution to our struggles to keep the pool water level monitored. He recommended Amazon as the supplier, too. A win-win!
