This is great for coating the gasket of your Hayward (or inline chlorinator) cap gasket. Only coat the gasket with a very small amount. If not, it hardens and builds on the cap and the chlorinator, making it impossible to unscrew in a few months to a year. Pull the gasket out (the o-ring) and just use a drop on your finger to coat the ring - and put it back in. That’s all you need! Enough to keep the gasket sealing, but not getting stretch by the force of the closure. I made the mistake of using a ton and ruined my who chlorinator after a year of lubing everything! It’s only need to coat the o-ring gasket in a very light amount every time you open. Take ring out, wipe it with a towel, reapply with a drop to lube whole ring and it will make chlorinator and gasket last a LOT longer

Doing a Delta tub/shower control required a lube for O ring on install. This lube allowed assembly to go smooth on install. Definitely worth the money.

I take care of my own pool equipment and you can't do that properly without o-ring lube. I haven't found a better buy than this 4oz LubeTube – Pool O-Ring Lubricant. It makes it easier to get the top off the pre skimmer and filter housing, and chlorinater. It also reduces wear on the o-rings and keeps you leak free for a longer period of time. It is as durable as any lube I have used and is a great price for as much as you get. It saves time and money to use this on all your o-rings and you only have to apply this 2, maybe three times a year.
