Used this (hubby that is) to trim a couple of the taller limbs off our avocado tree. Works well for varying lengths. You can make this up to 14 ft which is plenty for our needs. And I very much appreciate that it breaks down for easy storage. It takes up a fairly small space this way and still provides ample reach when needed. Pricing is very good for the amount of utility it will bring to our tool kit.

This is a functional pole saw with a nice blade. Attaching the blade to the pole is unnecessarily dificult, but is possible. I noticed one reviewer couldn’t get the bolt to line up with the pole/handle. The handle can be pushed in and out a couple of millimeters, it can also rotate a couple mm. So you just need to fiddle with it some. I had difficulty getting the nut to thread in the recessed handle. That took a lot longer than it should. These issues could be rectified with a little refinement to the handle part. The blade on this is what stands out, it is a good quality one. I was able to cut through a 3-4 inch oak tree branch that was about 20 feet up. The blade is coarse enough and has the proper angle to it, so that it doesn't get stuck while sawing. For $40, if you’re willing to overlook some minor quirks, it’s a good investment.

The blade is crazy sharp. When extended fully the pole/saw becomes incredibly flimsy but cut though a walnut branch about 8” in diameter with ease, even when extended fully. I was able to clean up a bois d’arc tree with limbs and branches 10” or greater in diameter within just a few hours and cut back 1/3 of a 200 year old, unruly tree. Then, with the same blade, cut down some sand plum trees that were blocking my driveway. All in one morning. This thing is a steal and works really well.

This is a pole saw for tree trimming. It is 14 ft long and it comes with the saw blade. You screw the pieces together until you reach the desired height that you want. The blade gets attached to the handle, and the handle gets attached to the pole, and you're in business! This is an excellent pole saw and gives you a good Long Reach. I got this because we always trim everything up just before spring and we need to get busy doing that now. This is an excellent quality pole saw and I appreciate that it is not mechanical. This makes it lightweight and dependable!

I'm very disappointed with this pruning saw. I have several fruit trees in my yard and was looking forward to pruning them without having to use a ladder. This pruning saw seemed like the perfect solution, but that wasn't the case. While the blade is sharp, a manufacturing flaw prevented me from connecting the poles to the handle. Even with maximum effort, the holes didn't align, and I was unable to screw in the bolt. Furthermore, although it appeared that tools (a small wrench and screwdriver) were included for assembling the saw, the lack of a second wrench made it impossible to fasten the bolt and nut. You need two wrenches—one to hold the nut in place while you screw in the bolt. In addition, I found a flaw in the rubber handle; a notch in the design would dig into my fingers when applying pressure. I will not be using this tool and cannot recommend it.

After 15 years of pruning palm trees, my trusty pole saw was finally retired. And then this shiny new pole saw came along and I am happy once again. Fourteen feet is a loooong pole, twice the length of my old one. Did I need the extra length? You bet! Those palm trees are much taller now. And the benefit of having 10 sections of pole is that you can customize it to the right length for the right job. Did I mention how sharp the blade is? Very. The handle is ergonomic and extremely comfortable. Easy to get a good grip. Overall I am really pleased with this pole saw purchase.. and would most definitely recommend it. By the way, I should also mention how easy this pole saw is to assemble along with the ease of disassembly for storage. And one last thing, this is a very moderate price to pay for this saw. I shopped the Big Boxes first and they could not come close!

This is a decent pole saw. It’s nice that it’s rather compact and can extend to 12’ pretty easily. I attached it to a different pole in order to reach up to 18’. But the biggest issue I have is that the blade bends very easily. A bit too easily as far as I’m concerned. As long as you keep the cuts mainly to downstrokes you’ll be okay and the blade cuts pretty well.
