This product was a life saver, when you consider the fact I had previously fell 24 feet out of a tree trying to cut branches! The pole assembly was easy and had the option of with or without the pole extension. The battery was easy to charge (charger included with the chainsaw), and since the pole was battery operated, the extra weight of a gas motor was gone. The light weight made cutting branches while on the roof very easy. The product extension pole works just like a power cord. Both ends just plug into one an other. Although safety should always be followed (don’t be like me), this pole chainsaw is a great product and would highly recommend it to the DIY individual.

I had about 10 limbs around the yard I wanted to trim back. This saw was able to cut all the limbs on a single charge.I'm not sure how anyone could call this heavy. It is made of plastic and even the poles are plastic and lightweight, though strong. There was no flex at all in the poles at full length. It is a 20v saw, so I did not expect it to be super powerful and quick cutting. I just rested the saw on the limb while cutting, and it took about 10-15 seconds to cut through a 3-4 inch limb. This is plenty fast enough for me.The blade was very sharp, as I could tell when putting it on the saw, and it cut well. The slower cutting is from the 20v motor, not a dull blade.I'm probably going to use this once or twice a year, so this is perfect as I really do not need anything more expensive or more powerful than this saw.

Overall, very nice! Good: Self oiling, grease hole at bar tip, easy chain adjust on the spot, very solid pole connections, uses very common multi brand batteries, slide in charger which can also charge other brand batteries, angle head is a must. Overall, very solid. A 15' cut length is based on a 5' tall person. 5' + 10' = 15'.Bad: a little on the heavier side, but well worth the features.

I now realize it is a little small, better with a 10" saw. Ok though for small work.

Says length extends up to 15 feet. This is flat out WRONG! In extends, with the extension included, to less than 10'. It then assumes a person can then reach up to make it go up to the 15 foot mark. This is so misleading. Also, the design is such that you have to take apart the device to add/remove the extension piece. Other brands have a telescoping pole for instant adjustment to any length in between (handy when trimming multiple branches at different heights.

The saw works well, but the necessary extended length makes it a bit heavy, tiring and little difficult to handle very long. If you are a younger person it more than likely will be less of a problem, than at 82 years old. It would be nice if it were lighter. but I can understand the need for a strong motor.
