Our pure cotton quilt core is treated with a grinding technique to prevent fuzzing and ensure a smooth texture, ideal for hand sewing. The cotton batting is very soft, comfortable, and machine washable after quilting without wrinkling or bearding.
PLANTIONAL Quilt Batting Are Available in a Variety of Sizes
Please do not pre-wash any of our quilt battings, as it may cause damage. There is no need to pre-wash; they are machine washable after quilting. The batting can also be used as an exterior fabric, quilted up to 4 inches apart, easily dyed, and your fabric will cling to it while quilting.

After trying other brands of batting on Amazon, I'm sticking with this brand. The batting (while not as thick as the batting you buy at quilt shops) is substantial and doesn't beard or fluff away like other brands I tried on Amazon.

It's a great quality to use in handbags and wallets. I thought it was iron-on but it's not...that's my fault for not reading the full description. I used adhesive spray and it works for my accessories.

This is a thin batting for quilts, potholders, and other crafts. It is definitely easy to use and has a blanket like feel to it. It’s definitely thin so for potholders I may use a double thickness.

I ordered this batting often to use for making spun cotton sculptures and putting in supply kits. It has no odor, is thicker than some batting I've tried, but does have a slightly nubby texture.My only complaint is that it comes double bagged, which seems unnecessary to me and a waste, the plastic sleeve it comes in would be plenty in my opinion and the zipper bag just makes me feel bad each time I order it 😬 putting this out there in hopes maybe someone at the company might consider a more eco friendly packaging option 😊

This crafting material is of superb quality and includes an ample amount for the price. Easy to work with, performed flawlessly for the intended application. Well packaged, and can be conveniently stored in it's zip-locked bag! Highly recommend PLANTIONAL and their cotton batting!!

I like the way this batting feels and looks. It is quite a bit thinner than what I have been using, probably half as thick. The thickness is very important to me because I need to make sure it insulates heat well. I'm going to keep it though to use it for another project. I think it will be just perfect for that! So, depending on the thickness you need, this is a good buy and good quality.

While making up a bunch of bowl cozies for coworkers during teacher appreciation week, I was surprised that I actually used up all my batting scraps and needed some more batting. I didn't want to run to a fabric store and run the temptation of more fabric so I thought I would check out what Amazon had to offer. This batting had great reviews and was reasonably priced.I am really happy with this batting. It's very thick and lofty. Using this for bowl cozies, I think you could get away with using just one square of batting. It's that thick. Uploaded a photo to show the difference of my scrap batting compared to this, the mushroom cozies are using this batting and the brown flower cozies are using my quilt scraps. The plushness is obvious. Both sets have two layers of batting in each cozy. Being able to use just one square of batting makes this that much more economical for this craft in particular.I really like how compressed it is packed so it's easy to store. I wouldn't hesitate to use this in a quilt. It feels super durable. I've spent way more money on batting that feels like I could tear it apart. So far so good. I'm sure I will be back for more.

I ordered this product to make a blanket for our trailer out of a cute set of flannel sheets I found at the thrift store. It's quite warm considering the thickness of the cotton filling. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome!
