As a horticulturist, I find these watering "mushrooms" to be a nice solution to hold you over in between waterings, especially for plants that might not like to dry out all the way. To be clear - these are to SUPPLEMENT your watering, not a SOLUTION for watering. I look forward to using these in the summer to buy me a little extra time when we go on long trips.Only this is I wish they came in different colors - like more earth tones or even greens. It would be nice if they were a little more aesthetically pleasing, rather than the dollar store vibe these give off currently.Overall, I do recommend these as a fairly cost effective way to go a little longer between waterings and keep an even moisture for plants that need it.

These are nice plastic watering tubes in the fun shape of mushrooms.The colors are great. Not too bright. It's a good value to get 6 as you often need more than 1 in a pot. Plastic is a good idea as glass tends to break in this application.The instructions are clear and written in a fun way. They really help to explain how to best use these.The stem could be a little longer. You would have to have dirt up high for these to stick out of the pot.A tube cleaning brush is included. That's a nice addition.

I thought these would be glass but plastic would be better. I thought there would be one of each colour so I’m a bit disappointed on that but it’s okay. The quality is still correct. These are really fun and work actually really well ! Not a good idea in fast draining soil though.

These are super cute. I might kinda wish they were larger/better capacity, but that’s only because I have several houseplants in my classroom to leave for winter break.

These plastic mushrooms for self-watering are cute. We like the size of the set and variety of colors. The plastic is lightweight and seems durable. It was easy to insert in the soil. The only thing to watch for is, if your plant pot is on the smaller side (like mine in the picture), it can be top heavy when you first fill the mushroom. If not arranged well, it could tip the pot over. This won't be a problem on bigger pots.

I really like this set of self-watering globes. My favorite is the blue. But for the purpose of watering your plants, they all work really well. The shorter stems make them perfect for smaller pots where the longer stem globes have a tendency to make smaller pots fall over. I fill them up once a week and let them do their job. How often you need to fill them is dependent on the size of the pot and the plant. I use mine to water herbs. The globes are easily filled. Just run the water with a light stream and hold the globe under the stream and they fill up quickly. For the initial insert into the dirt, I take a chopstick and make a hole. After that, just fill them and insert them into the hole that was previously made. I do rinse them out in between fills to remove and potting soil that may have gotten in the bulb.

We have some of the popular glass watering globes and I was expecting these to be glass too, but in a colorful mushroom shape. However these are made of plastic and that's actually nicer because that can't shatter like glass if you drop them or hit them on rocks. They work feeding plants water, but they drain pretty fast. Basically, in a few minutes, they drain entirely. I was hoping for them to last a few days and to be a little more capable of watering while we are away on a vacation. Might need to block the bottom hole and make it smaller, so let water out more slowly.
