I make a lot of homemade pizzas. So does my daughter in law, so she got a stone for her birthday, too. Years ago, I bought a rectangular stone recommended by America's Test Kitchen for my first stone, but this one is a better size, compared to the size pan that I eventually cut the pizza on (16-inch diameter pizza pan). The rectangular stone measures 14 by 16, so that is difficult to cook a larger pizza on. However, you do have to be pretty accurate when sliding a pizza from a peel onto a stone...tricky, tricky...and I admit I usually glide them in on parchment paper directly onto the stone and remove the paper part of the way thru baking. I spent a good deal of time researching the best stones, and this one came closest for me.

Works great !! I use it in my Traeger , Weber Charcoal and Gas grill . Works in any of my grills for fantastic CRISPY crust homemade pizza every Friday . Just wipe off after using with damp cloth . Just be a lil neat when loading pizza and no problem keeping clean . We love it . Great cooking stone .

Very pleased with this pizza stone, well worth it to achieve the perfect crispy, chewy pizza crust. I will only make pizza with this stone from now on. As we need to make gluten-free pizzas - never thought we could bake an authentic crust. Works perfectly. Well worth the $.

Allow me to start by saying that I am not using this as a pizza thing. I'm using it as a custom heatsink/radiant heat dispersion stone in a custom grill application. I have now drilled 61 holes in it with a masonry bit anywhere from 3/8" up to 1/2" to fine tune my heat transfer. I thought for sure it would break and I'd be back to square one. It sits directly on top of a 17,000 BTU/hr propane flame for hours at a time, and it keeps taking abuse. I'm impressed. I have tortured this little thing and it keeps performing. Buy it, and don't stress. It's strong. The finish is also very smooth and I imagine very easy to season. Heck, I might buy another one just so I can get into stone-cooked pizza.

It cooks a frozen pizza so it’s almost as good as pizza shop pizza. I’ve tried many different ways to cook a pizza at home and this is it!! Aluminum pans, steel pans, tin foil, even cooking it on the oven rack, all gave poor results. The crust on every frozen pizza I have tried comes out fantastic. My 3 grandkids live next door, and they love the results too!

I bought this as my 1st stonelikely last one I ever buy unless I drop & break it:)this thing is perfectI bake a pizza, homemade in 8 minutes at 500* FI heat to 500* then let heat sock in for 15 minutes after hitting 500*cook for 4 min, then turn pizza 180* & another 4 min, done! BAM best pizza ever.to clean all I do is turn over to self clean, think mine runs 4 hours, burns off all spills & looks as new. saw that on youtube.NO FUNNY SMELLS AT ALLsaw lots of stones & lots of reviews saying smellythis 1 seemed to have good reviews & seller replies were nice & courteousthx for making a great stone:)update: still 5 stars! had this like 1 year or so. still works great, never had 1 before this, never made pizzas at home before,............WISH I STARTED SOONER :) home made are the best. I turn my oven to 550* cook 6 minutes total,3 min then turn 180* 3 more. stone will come out clean after a self clean cycle in my oven, that is 4-6 hours can't remember, nothing but ash is left from pizza spills, I use parchment paper so pizza slides off the peel. check out youtube for how to videos I also use crushed tomatoes & blend up with this "Just Add Tomatoes Pizza Sauce Seasoning Mix" search that on here & you will find it. best pizza Sause I have had
