I waited to write this review until we had really used and tried out this pitchfork. It is lightweight, has a comfortable grip, and is holding up well. We use it for cleaning out stalls. It is exactly what I was looking for since I have children helping with chores and the antique ones are so heavy. This is heavy duty without being too heavy. This would also be easy to take with us to the fair if we need it to clean pens there. I will be getting a couple more so we can have one handy in each of our barns. It arrived in a tall box and shipped well with no damage. I'm very pleased with this pitchfork.

Heavy and well-made, this came assembled in a large box. For the price, I would say this is a quality farm implement that is made easier to use with the padding on the handle. If you're looking to replace your pitchfork, this is a good option made with heavy, quality materials.

This is the first and only pitchfork I have ever owned, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. I picked this up to use to turn my compost pile, and it works great for that. I was concerned in looking at the posting that perhaps the handle came in segments and had to be screwed together, but fortunately that is not the case. It is just one continuous fiberglass piece with a rubber sponge piece for comfort. It's solid and strong, yet lightweight to use. For my purposes it works well.
