I think they need to pay attention to the perch it does not fit in the hole so I had to drill it bigger myself.

Other than the perch that is too big for the hole. You'll have to drill a bigger hole or sand down the perch. Also, I do wish I had bought one with the window. It would be nice to slide the partition over some so that the babies are exposed to more light and activity outside the habitat.

I have 3 conures - two males and a female. The female has now gone through her third clutch that we've allowed to hatch. All three stay in the nest at night and the chicks do just fine. It seems to be roomy enough for them. I've been very pleased with the nest. It's easy to open, it can be mounted on the side of a cage, and it's roomy for 3 full sized conures and some chicks. I'm sure there are better nests, but they tend to be hard to find and very expensive. The one thing is that is must be kept clean. Like a cheap brooder, the bottom absorbs odors. During this last clutch, I didn't mount the nest on the side of the cage (which makes things much easier for managing the bird), and I was unable to get to it when the hen was out. It got pretty dirty and smelled bad. When she finally came out long enough to separate her, I was able to clean it, but the smell lingers even through a thick pile of aspen. I've ordered a new one and will see if the bottom can be replaced later.

As a bird friend I completely recommend this product . This pine bird nest house is high quality and exactly what I hoped for it to be.

The ring that makes the opening has very sharp sharp edges. If you lay your finger against it you could get cut. It has a lid that opens so you can clean out the nest. Part of the ring sticks up once you open the lid. I cut my finger substantially on that part. So if you have small children you need to put some sort of tape on that ring or they could get cut badly. Other than that it is made of such light weight wood that did the birds love to eat it.Good thing, Because it is lightweight it hangs easily. The design and the construction were great, it was only the materials that I complain about.

My problem is it may be too large for my bird cage and that is my mistake. I should have purchased the next size down, but no complaints about the quality. There may be hope if I relocate the birds to a larger cage. The nest box took a while to arrive during the covid-19 pandemic, but I waited it out.
