Our little guys are so happy with this nest. We have never had our birds like a nest before this one. They love to lay in it. I know they like it because they won't poop where they sleep. We are very happy with the construction and the quality. The size is ideal for small songbirds, canaries and parakeets like ours. You guys did such a great job on this product we just absolutely are thrilled with it. I would love to see one like this in a larger size so we can use it for our cockatiels. Thank you so much.It is March 2nd 2022, an addendum to my first review of this product. 15 days and my birds still love this nest , yes, they do try to chew on the strings and pull at them. When this happens I get scissors and cut the strings short to avoid entanglement. That is part of the responsibility of animal ownership. I am very shocked and saddened to hear that people have had problems with injury or worse to their birds regarding the coconut fiber / Raffia fiber. It is a natural substance found in the wild. And if it was truly synthetic as one review stated, then why didn't you throw it away? It is the pet owners responsibility to ensure the safety of their animal. It was clearly stated in the packaging as well as in the ad what this fiber was made of. For the record, I have no connection with the manufacturer or those who own or make this product. However I do have a problem with people who like to point fingers at everyone else when something goes wrong. If you are a true bird owner then you know that some varieties of birds love to destroy things or shred things to make a nest more comfy or because they are bored. The pet owner, especially those who know anything about birds should know this. This behavior with birds even happens in the wild. When I saw this coconut fiber rolled in a spool, I had enough sense to cut it into strips about 6 inches long and lay it on the bottom of the cage and away from the cotton nest so that the bird can easily manage the pieces and add to the cotton nest without harm. This way they would not be tangled, trapped, injured or worst. This is the pet owners responsibility to understand this. Again I am sorry to hear that your bird was injured or worse but it is the pet owners responsibility to know what you're putting into the cage. Don't be so quick to blame everyone else as people these days so often do. In my opinion, there is nothing defective about this product, just uneducated pet owners.

I like the bird nest, however the nest itself leans and feel crooked! I think that the support isn’t sturdy enough for the nest itself. I’m glad I have small parakeets. Otherwise it probably wouldn’t work for me. My birds do love the little nest!

Very well-made. Sturdy. She didn't rip it apart yet like she did with the grass ones. Also came with a fur-like liner and some stringy material. She caught her feet up in that string and made quite a fuss; she's ok and i'll stick with cotton. The liner is nice 'tho' and easier to clean that way.

My Sun Conure has never really been a nest bird. She has always slept in her fuzzy bed. I have tried many different nests in the past and she was never interested. Until now ! She loves this nest !! Thank you !!

Buyer Beware! I was extremely impressed with the quality and sturdiness of this item. The seller also included bedding and a small soft fleece-like mat in the order. However, the bedding was in the flight cage less than 24 hours and I woke up to find my female canary hanging by her neck from the bedding twine. Please, please, please if you are buying this item, THROW OUT THE BEDDING included with this order. It is a synthetic material that the birds get caught in and cannot chew through. I wish I had someone tell me this before I put the bedding in the nest. Hopefully this will save someone else’s sweet canary. I am heartbroken. The nest itself is well made and very sturdy and all hardware is included.
