Requires entirely different charger from our Petsafe Guardian GPS + Tracking system. It is advertised as "compatible" across guardian systems....... except battery chargers that is.Requires creative, critical thinking and TONS of patience to get battery out once it needs charging. A degree in quantum physics or advanced UFO Reverse Rngineering may help. Almost lost my religion trying not to destroy it. Anyone figured it out, has a system, or tips? This country boy could use help•

The boundary is not consistent. The collar seems to alert correctly the first time but will them either not alert at all or short of the boundary. The collar will show it has good GPS signal while doing this. Boundary is a large square (1 acre) with many points along the edge. My dog is afraid to move due to the inconsistency.

When battery was new worked great - after a few months it stopped holding a charge. Contacted manufacturer and they are sending me a new one. But a little disappointed that the battery went bad in only 8 months. Maybe just a bad battery so didn't give 1 star.

What I didn't like was that this system had to be reprogrammed over the net before I could set it up and get it working. If you have your base station connected via wifi before calling for help, they can actually check it out and try helping you in only one call. In my case , I was told that there was a glitch in my programming and they would need to program it. A couple of hours later, I checked on the reprogramming process and found that it had been completed which allowed me to finish my setup. While I was in the process of doing that, I got a call from petsafe to check on my needs. Great service. This GPS based system works well except that the width of the boundary line you set up is too wide for using in a small yard if you want your dog to have access to the whole yard. I finally ended up with a roaming area only about 20 feet wide across much of my front yard, but I can actually adjust the boundary so that my dog can have use of almost all the 20 acres on the house side of the road. He caught on pretty quick and if I forget to put his collar on, he still stays withing the boundary. The collar is on the heavy side so your dog needs to be large enough and strong enough for the collar to not be too much weight on his neck. Be sure to buy an extra battery so you always have one that is charged up and you won't have to worry about your dog getting in the road or going other places that he shouldn't.

Had this since it first came out. We set the boundaries and they would work one time. Then the next it was almost like the boundaries were cut in half from what’s it’s set at. Would walk 10ft off my deck and it’d start beeping. Not even close to where the boundaries were. My dog was still young so it was a little nervous but then scared. He was afraid to move because the collar would beep in random places. So more or less we let him out and kept a close eye on him. Now that weather is getting nice again figured give the fence another shot. My house has at least an acre of flat yard and no trees. So trees might be an issue is no excuse. Now my dog goes past the boundary and goes where he wants. Had very high hopes with what I thought was the next best thing for electric fences. Just to be let down.
