Without naming any names (cough cough rhymes with BetWibro), we had purchased a couple of their automatic feeders (not WiFi enabled), one for our first cat, then about a year and a half later we bought the second. The big issue was that the two units, even though they were the same exact model, kept time differently. One was fast, the other was slow, so over the course of a week, we would have a gulf of about 2 1/2 minutes which resulted in hurt feelings and competition. Cue the third cat and we tried a different brand. That one kept time a little better, but we were still struggling with clocks that would never be synchronized and it was a chore to always update 3 feeders every few days just to ensure the cats were fed at their respective stations at the same time and no one had an opportunity to eat theirs and steal another's in the time it took for food to be dispensed.I had my eye on this, as it's WiFi enabled, and we already have the automatic litter box, so we were familiar with the brand. I bought a couple to trial and they have worked wonders so far, the internet connectivity ensures they are dispensing at almost identical times, rather than relying on an onboard clock. So, we purchased a third, and will purchase a fourth and fifth once the kittens are a bit bigger.Setting up the feeding plan is a breeze and refilling couldn't be easier. I also like the shallow bowl because it does keep whisker fatigue to a minimum as they don't have to bury their heads too deep to reach their food.Set up was a breeze as well. It was very easy to connect as the device was easily recognized and firmware updates took moments without any failures. The app works great with virtually no delays in input - want to give them a little snack? Tap the snack button, select your serving size and it dispenses as soon as you make your choice.For the price and the features, it's a no brainer. There's simply no reason reason to pay more for less with competitors, at least those who are respectable names in this market, and not just a random brand that has popped up trying to offer a cheap alternative with a janky app.5/5 stars.

I absolutely love this feeder. The setup isn't terribly complicated as it's all done through the app.The app is easy to use and intuitive, and it allows you to set a feeding schedule, which allows for consistent mealtimes. The smallest portion it serves is 1/10 cup, which is more than enough for one meal for my cat.Caveats:- It had trouble connecting to my wifi, and sometimes, it won't stay connected. It rarely happens during feeding times, and I got a wifi extender to put right near the feeder. That seemed to solve the problem for the most part.- It will say it's low on or out of food, even when the hopper is full. Not the biggest issue, aside from the alerts.Pros:- Easy to set up and manage feeding- Most, if not all, cat food is small enough to easily be dispensed- You can opt for a beep that sounds every time it feeds, which is great. The bowl it dispenses into is metal, so it's basically like you calling your cat(s) for a meal- It uses desiccant packs to keep the food dry, and you can get replacement ones on here for not a lot of money.Overall, I'd recommend this if you don't feel like getting one that costs more, because the bang for your buck is great.

This was working great until it just suddenly stopped dispensing after less than a year. After troubleshooting every way possible with no luck we are giving up on this automatic feeder and replacing with another brand…

I've own the Petkit Feeder Mini for more than a year, and it has never missed a feeder. I wanted to buy this model again for my second cat, but it seems to be discontinued. I then decided to buy the Petkit Feeder SOLO, and oh boy was that a mistake, I was excited to get this feeder, which is the upgraded model of the mini, the one I already own. Except that nothing at all was upgraded, it just doesn't work anymore.It took me a couple time to get it up and running, I had to start over three times since the feeder was disconnecting halfway during the setup. Once I was finally done, I did a test by setting a timer in two minutes. The food only dispensed three minutes later, more than a minute after the expected time. And this happens every single time (when it actually works). My first cat gets fed at the exact second by the Petkit Mini, but my second cat, with the Petkit SOLO, has to wait about a minute more.Which brings me to the major problem of this product: it doesn't work most of the time. My two feeders are side by side using the same network. And this feeder actually dispenses food maybe 30% of the time. The rest of the time, nothing is happening. The "online light" is always on, which means there is no reason it shouldn't work. And yet, I always have to manually feed my cat, which breaks the whole purpose of this product.Another point, which is more of a downgrade than a problem in itself: this feeder is really loud. The first couple times it actually scared my cats with the loud beeping and mechanical sounds.In summary:- Disconnects during setup- Doesn't dispense food most of the time- When it does, it's always minutes late- Way louder than the older modelSince I cannot get a return from Amazon, I'm stuck with this piece of crap. Stay away from this product at all cost. Which is a shame, since the older model was so good.

UPDATE**: still 5stars. Update is bc people are saying this has a bad wifi system. I set up a separate 2.4G network off my main 5G network, and it works perfectly fine. I get 2-3 wifi Bars on my phone from where the feeder is so I do have a good network connection. Only have about avg 700-800mbps wifi and a ton of other items in the home like security cameras and smart plugs with multiple roommates also tech heavy, so the issue is definitely not with the feeder (unless they got a defective one idk). I did have my power go out once but due to the battery backup the feeder still dispensed food on time and reconnected to the wifi when the power came back on without me having to do anything. Also read someone said the app didn’t work with an iPhone. I have a newer iPhone and the app was super easy, as if I was downloading any other app (Instagram, etc.). Updating bc I don’t want people to overlook this feeder bc of a few reviews that don’t always apply.So this feeder only had 8 reviews when I ordered it which is way low for my usual trust with a new brand. however, MY CATS LOVE THIS FEEDER. They weren’t intimidated by the size or layout. Very intuitive for my cats to use. Love that it’s also a plain clean look with the app (so far so good) and doesn’t have those tacky looking buttons on most automatic feeders. Extremely clean design which was a big factor in buying. The lid That seals is also nice. I picked up the feeder and turned it sideways just to see if it would spill, and it stayed secure with the latch they used.The installation was incredibly easy and straight forward. I expected it to be more intense. My cats use purina one kitten food mixed with purina one probiotic health adult food, and the dispenser has done very well with portion size mixed. Will update this if anything changes.The App really impressed me with how it logged my cats’ weights and age etc to help with portion control. I needed this bc I wasn’t sure how much to give my kitties after them being on an open bowl meal (but got too chunky hence the feeder & I am a student and not always home etc).Only Pros at this Point. I got the stainless steel option and highly recommend that bowl as opposed to the plastic. Your cat will appreciate it and it’s a lot easier to clean.The Green Color is exactly how the picture looks. Have already gotten compliments on it from my roommates. If I end up buying another automatic feeder (for both cats versus them just sharing this one), I will buy this brand and exact model again. Honestly one of my favorite Amazon purchases of all time.
